Liam Walsh on 11:31 - May 14 with 1652 views | portmanking | He would be a ridiculously good signing for League 1. A real baller.
Liam Walsh on 11:33 - May 14 with 1613 views | MB26 | Bristol players are no doubt going to be linked, plenty of quality being let go by them. Paterson and Walsh would be a real coup.

Based on what? Walsh is younger and seems to have a good pedigree given his start at Everton. We need to stop looking at our academy players with different levels of scrutiny that we do other players. Bishop is nearly 25 and just hasn't kicked on how I think we all hoped he would. It happens sometimes, injuries haven't helped. SB

Walsh is a definite advancement on Bishop in terms of ability to stamp his mark on games. He was at the heart of everything good about that Coventry promotion-winning team. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yes But what about our academy products.............. my reply was in jest, This is the sort of link why people should relax and not get so annoyed about academy products leaving after a few years of not really doing much Clearly, this is just a rumour, but it's clear without a doubt we will be aiming to bring in players who are better than our own. Walsh with Bishop pushing him all the way would be perfect - whether that happens we’ll see but would I be upset if we let the latter go for the former? As much as it pains me to say it, no.

Our academy players shouldn’t be judged any different to any other player. I understand the pride we get from bringing players through, but that shouldn’t cloud our judgement on their abilities. Bishop’s had many years to make an impact. If he’s as good as many make out, he’d be a transfer target for big clubs.

Walsh is only a year younger, and has somehow managed to score less goals than Bishop in his career so far.
Liam Walsh on 11:50 - May 14 with 1257 views | MrTown | What a footballer Liam Walsh is by the way. At this level as well. Suffered with an injury hit campaign. Still only 23 mind you. EDIT: Jamie Patterson and Jack Hunt would also interest me. [Post edited 14 May 2021 11:55]

But has performed very well in a promotion winning team. I'm just not convinced at all about Bishop. I want him to be brilliant but he flatters to deceive in my opinion. Perhaps I will be proven wrong, that would be nice. SB [Post edited 14 May 2021 11:58]

Liam Walsh on 12:01 - May 14 with 1078 views | itfcjoe | I think they offered him a deal which he turned down so presumably has Championship interest - maybe back to Coventry? Would be an excellent signing at this level, but has suffered with injuries this year which always fills me with dread

Yes, just making the point that Walsh hasn't made many appearances relative to his age, has had one good streak of 25 or so games in his career so far, doesn't have a great goalscoring record, but can look really classy on his day.
