I think all these players we are bringing in are good enough to compete in the Championship maybe they all just need a season in League 1 together to really gel and then kick on next season to finish in a good position in the championship. |  | | |

It’s not really hubris though is it. We’re not saying anything is nailed on nor are we minimizing other teams. But the fact is that we are putting together a team of players drawn largely from the league above so it’s not an unrealistic thing to hope that we may do well this year.

We’re also still quite light for numbers, if we get 3/4 injuries that team starts to look very different, I think we had about 12 at one point last season! I’m sure we’ll have a good squad size come the end of the transfer window though. | | | |

Absolutely. But with these players, and as importantly with the back room staff we now have in place, we absolutely should be expecting to do well this season and for promotion within 2 seasons as an absolutely minimum.
I think it is time for us to start to be positive and no longer accept anything less than upwards momentum. I personally don’t buy the ‘promotion or bust this season’ rhetoric, but we must be too 6 and we must get promo the next year. I’m certain this is what the wonders and management want as a minimum. | |

If they are good players, with good characters then they will show it on the pitch. Most of these are already known to Cook and he’s clearly put together a ‘team’ rather than simply individuals that can play in a certain positions.

Injuries have historically been a problem under Evans but with the infrastructure and coaches now in place we can hope the days of Adeyemi and Bishop being out for seasons at a time are over. | |
