Anyone actually going to Oldham game? 20:42 - Nov 3 with 2470 viewsunstableblue

Have family down and quite a big group want to go, despite my rabid support I’m not that keen, upper tier of north and Churchmans closed and Cobbold

Who’s going off here please??

Poll: What level of support are you bringing to Portman Road today?

Yeah. Fully expecting some changes but I think we’ll want to keep the positivity going. We’re out of the league cup and the trophy is Mickey Mouse and rightly the lowest priority, which I would quite happily see us bow out of next week tbh. I would however like to see a little FA Cup run, 150 years of the competition and it’s been ages since we did anything in it. Given the depth of our squad I think an additional few games would be healthy to help keep them match fit.

If available I would go for a near complete switch, something like: Hladky, Donacien, Woolfenden, Nsiala, Kenlock, El Mizouni, Harper, Barry, Aluko, Fraser, Piggot.

Perhaps Chaplin given he missed out last night. You never know, a couple of kind draws and an upset or 2 and we could find ourselves in the latter stages.

Yep. Hoping to witness the rarity of Town winning a cup match.

Not been to PR yet this season, get paid Friday and am actually off work Saturday and the good lady is in Scotland so seriously considering it though I wouldn't be surptised if I end up stocking up with booze and using iplayer, I'm a bit of an unsociable git these days.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Think we’ve only won two since then, Blackpool in 2010 and Lincoln two years ago.

Still Oldham have had even worse last 20 years than us….

Maybe. 50/50 I reckon.

Will see how I feel on the day. Fully expect it to be our second 11 though.

The good thing is that our second 11 is still going to be strong and good to watch!!!

Perhaps:

–––-Hdalky
Donacien Wolf burgess Penney
–––-El Miz Harper/Carrol
Aluko–––Chaplin––-Fraser
Piggot

That should absolutely be the team, it's still a really strong one and those players need to be kept well involved. Rather not risk players like Bonne, Morsy, Celina, Burns when we have a squad with this kind of depth. We should still 100% expect to win and be hugely disappointed with anything else.

8 since then. Mick had 5 and Lambert 3. Mick's 5 include draws to League One Preston, League Two Portsmouth and Non league Lincoln.

Apart from in the cup, we have the worst record of all 92 clubs over the last 5/6 years. Still I’ll be there on Saturday!

Personally I don't think that should be the team. I don't think Woolfenden is as good as the hype around him makes out to be yes he's "home grown" but he never looks confident on the ball and constantly looks to go backwards or to the side plus for me he takes too long on the ball then gets flustered when pressed and ends up causing a mistake, Kenlock is the same really don't rate him. El Miz is a decent player but think he can get a bit ball greedy and tries too hard sometimes when there is an easier option than going alone.

For me the team should be: Hladky, KVY (if the Don isn't fit) Edmunson, Toto, Penny, Evans, Morsy, Fraser, Chaplin, Aluko, Bonne. Keeps the spine of the team the same which I feel is important as you can see the partnerships starting to bear fruit now so keep it the same.

I'm going for a sort of stag due. Got married a few months back but have the reception this weekend so 9 of us going. 6 of whom have never been before. Was hoping for a good atmosphere.

Fantastic - please tell me you're in some kind of fancy dress!!!??

I think it'll be around 6k, perhaps

Cook making a statement that's its a strong team and a cup there serious about will bring through a few more fans I'm sure

Plus the Newport game was actually quite a good atmosphere in the lower North, responding to a good performance

Have a blast and congratulations on tying the knot geg!
