We are good (ish, only recently) in a terrible league. They are terrible in a very good league. Probably a draw on current form.

If you think we are any where near even a poor premiership team you are delusional,

1. Check out how quickly any Premiership team moves the ball compared to us - very quick
2. Check out how many times a premiership team misses the opportunities we do - not often
3. Check out how often the ball bounces around in front of the goal in a premiership game and then watch 3rd Tier games - very rare in P - very often in 3rd Tier
4. Speed of breaks, accuracy of passes, position of defenders, tackles, control of the ball - not at the elite end, just any team in the Premiership

but, the main difference is that Premiership Teams have an ability to get a corner over the first defender and into the box. Something we haven't mastered yet.

In our context, Norwich are a good team that would beat us

They'd have walloped us under Lambert or Cook. We'd have given them a game under McKenna.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Maybe we will be able to see in 6 months time....

Record of 3rd tier promoted against 1st tier relegated is surprisingly good according to my selective memory over the last 10 years

I think we’d lose 2-0 but we wouldn’t disgrace ourselves.

They would probably walk League 1

Depends if you think Norwich are better than Morecambe.

I don’t recall many wins over Norwich when Town were an average Division 2 side - so I doubt their chances have improved much by their becoming an average division 3 side

Mind you I doubt Smith has it in him to get Norwich anywhere near promotion next season - so give it time.

We would lose! We’re not even beating top league one teams consistently, let alone a top championship team (which they will be)

Come on people. They would clearly be a lot better than us.

The last time they came down they were shocking as well, but then stormed the championship.

They would probably beat us, but not a hiding.

I always look at what players would get into eachothers teams, I think only a couple of ours would get in there first team at a push (Walton, Fridge and Morsy) in fact only Walton is the real upgrade as sad as that is to say.

1st half of the Burton game was like watching a Jewson Premier League game in the 90's.
