A midfielder with 20 league goals, 22-years-old? Wouldn't be surprised if he skipped the Championship altogether.

This is the balance we have got to get right. Chase and secure the right quality that we can achieve. No good spending a lot of time and effort on targets we can't achieve (like Bradley).

Brannigan at Oxford as well as Twine will presumably be on the radar. Some younger players on loan from the Premier League. I wonder if we could get a Mark Noble-type of experienced leader at the end of their career prepared to come and play a part or whether that would just not be feasible financially.

Why would we want a Noble type when we have Morsy. ? Difficult to accommodate both. I am looking forward to seeing Evans back alongside Morsy in midfield.

I think we rely too much on Morsy and need a couple more leaders/organiser/motivators on the pitch. Once Edmondson was out our ability to close out games seemed to evaporate. Whether Noble or someone similar would be able to complement Morsy on the pitch as well as cover well if Morsy is unavailable would be key (if it were even possible).

He's the type that's going to go for £5m to a top end Championship club, not £500k like Fraser did.

I am too, but I think Bakinson makes a third excellent option in there, and with the promise of Humphreys and possibly El Miz and Harper, I really wouldn't want to be blocking their progress.

I watched the MK game live on Sky. Hadn't seen him before but thought Twine was sensational. His finish for all four goals was top class. Could really do with someone like him. Worth noting they play him in a two up front. Seems a nice lad too. Good luck to him.

Absolutely 0 chance he would come to Ipswich

What we have to remember here is that we got Chaplin. A key player for a small team that made the Championship playoffs.

We will therefore be realistically in a position to go for key players from Luton, Huddersfield or sides like Millwall, Coventry, Hull or QPR.

Twine is still at MK Dons. We’d probably need to pay £3m which won’t put the owners off for a player with resale value likely to exceed that if we decide we need to add someone in his position.

Question will be whether Sheff Utd, Boro or Forest want him or even Sunderland or Wednesday if they go up. If so they’d be favourites. Even bigger question is why spend that money on a player we possibly don’t need due to the system we play when it could be spent on the striker we do need.

Frustratingly he was one a lot of us thought would go on to be this good and he could have been got last summer. The question is would he have been anywhere near as good as he is now? Look at Fraser and Piggott last year. They’ve gone a million miles backwards.

If and buts. We bought the best midfielder and striker in the league and they were both failures here. No doubt Twine would have been too.

We wasted money on players who didn't suit the managers style, only 1 man can answer for that.

We hope for next season though any player signed fits what KM wants to do. Not just picked because they were high on league stats.

I'll be honest I'm a little bit nervous of the recruitment programme we have going on. Bakinson KM met after signing, he had good and bad games, would I say he should be a target? No. But can see us trying to sign to sell later.

Yep. We played a bit of fantasy football in the previous Summer. As you say, we need to now find the players that fit the system and the methodology. Not just players that did well this season at clubs with totally different styles.

Thing is we should be able to have a great summer. We dont have to worry about financially changing 19 players. Just 5 high quality additions will see us into next season.

Chaplin wasn't a "key player" for Barnsley - we can't go for "key players" from top half Championship sides.

We can compete with anyone in L1 and yes some teams at the bottom of the Championship but some people are getting carried away - Twine will be in a top-six Championship team next year or he may stay at MK if they go up. He's a totally unrealistic target.

Chappers had 31 appearances last season didn't he?

Twine maybe off limits. But I think they'll be some shocks on who we get.

He did but wasn’t one of the better players and only got 4 goals. Bonne’s played over 40 games but wouldn’t be classed as a key player for us.

Us and half the championship teams and the rest of league 1 teams - he’s possibly the hottest property in Lg 1 right now. Very slim chance of us getting him I’d say.
