Sunak for PM then.... on 16:34 - Jul 8 with 2035 views | Cheltenham_Blue | There will be a slew of them throwing hats into the ring. To be fair, If I was a Tory minister, even a junior one, I'd be looking at my colleagues and their respective talents and would think to myself, "Yeah, fu^k it. I might as well have a bash at it"

I mean, how much worse can it get? Actually, the thought of Priti as PM actually could be a lot lot worse.

Sunak for PM then.... on 16:37 - Jul 8 with 2011 views | hype313 | Labour would have a field day with him, if nothing else their campaign will focus on the fraudulent lost Covid loans. Not sure the grassroots will be overly keen on a PM who has whacked up taxes to the highest for 70 years. But, hey, why don't we all throw our hats in.

Sunak for PM then.... on 16:39 - Jul 8 with 1998 views | wrightsrightglove | Think he could be the most dangerous of all of the candidates. He’s got the charisma and financial backing to blitz the pr campaign and I could genuinely see him potentially winning an election against starmer in a couple of years time. We can’t let these liars, crooks, sex pests, and scumbags off the hook.

Fella on the news last night from Macclesfield was indicative of Boris supporters. "40 million of us voted for him, and 40 million of us should descend on London. We want him, we don't want anyone else"

He is surely their best bet, most of the others are completely unelectable. Still though with the covid fine, non dom tax dodge, and covid loan scandal there is plenty of ammunition there

Sunak for PM then.... on 17:04 - Jul 8 with 1762 views | Churchman | 6 months ago, maybe. Billions lost in fraud during the pandemic, economy totally wrecked, inflation through the roof. All on his watch. Fined by the police for being on the lash during lockdown (for everyone else) so a criminal, personal millions squirrelled away in blind trusts, a wife with non dom status to avoid tax and links to Russia. Too close to Johnson and only bailed out when he saw the writing on the wall. No chance, he’s up to his neck in it and washed up. Even the tories aren’t stupid enough to pick him. Are they? The opposition will tear him apart if the do. [Post edited 8 Jul 2022 17:05]

Oh don't get me wrong, I am not advocating for him.....oddly, I can see that the Tories would vote for him though....

The talent pool is well, empty. It’s more about who is less useless. Thank goodness Gove isn’t running. That said Hunt probably will. Oh dear.

Sunak for PM then.... on 17:37 - Jul 8 with 1593 views | tractordownsouth | I think Rishi would be a disaster for the Tories. He's tied to Johnson and partygate, has a poor economic record and Thatcherism 2.0 will completely alienate their new post-Brexit base. He's also not an impressive media performer. From an electoral perspective, he'd be a gift to Labour. Of the rumoured candidates so far, I think Sajid Javid, Tom Tugendhat and Penny Mordaunt would be the most likely to win an election.

His Ready for Rishi website was apparently set up last December. This is also funny: Frankly, they could tear themselves further apart over the next months if the economy wasn't in such a desperate state.

Actually you can take Mordaunt off that list because she's just had the Michael Fabricant endorsement.

What they should do is stop anyone standing who: 1. Took donations from an oligarch or kleptocrat - or any other dodgy source 2. Was fined for getting the beers in during lockdown when everyone else sacrificed seeing loved ones, including when they were needed 3. Was involved in any dodgy contracts issued during the pandemic 4. Took a job offered by Johnson 5. Didn’t vote for his removal when they tried to ditch him 6. Supported him after the lockdown party scandal I reckon that’ll leave Larry the No 10 cat for the top job with Gladstone the Treasury cat as Chancellor. I’ve met Gladstone and he’s very pleasant. Clever too. Certainly a better option to manage the nations finances than teeth and crocodile smile Sunak. [Post edited 8 Jul 2022 17:45]
