I thought they weren’t doing too badly this season. But there doesn’t appear to be anyone there much. The glamour of the championship I suppose.

Assumed West Brom would be a top 3 side. Didn't expect to see them 22nd after 12 games

It’ll be the 7 or 8 0-0s and only 3 or 4 goals scored that’s driven people away. Looks like they’re being treated to a goal fest tonight though. Well, a goal anyway.

4 scored and 4 conceded in 22 games!

Anyway, would be sad to see West Brom in League 1…. NOT.

Watford game was interesting.

22 mins injury time.

5 player booked in injury time all from the 12th minute of injury time.

Oh, and Swansea got an injury time winner.

Bilic sacked in the morning, he's had his chance at Watford now with a few games!!

All seems a bit of a mess at Watford. Par for the course really and the never ending revolving door of managers is going to cost them. Burnley's troubles have been quite well documented. As usual, Nodge the best placed of the relegated sides to go up.

Yep they already look set for their third promotion in five seasons. The very definition of a annoying bastard yo-yo club.

I guess the upside is, the more they yo-yo and just make up the numbers yet again, they are loathed more by fans of other clubs.

Watching Michael Bailey's reports on them, they sound a little bit like us in the early part of 201920. Quality is getting them points, but a lack of cohesion is making people nervous about their long term prospects.

Was reading him in the athletic earlier; he sounded all very jaded about life in the championship. Let’s hope it all goes wrong for them!

Although those parachute payments and TV money from the seasons they spend in the Premier League shoukd ensure that they won’t be getting relegated and spending four seasons in League one anytime soon.

I’d give my left nut for us to have played in the Premier League six seasons out of the last ten, and celebrated 2 automatic promotions and a play off win at Wembley during the same period.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Burnley are 5th, 5 points off top. They have won just one more game than Blackpool this season, who are 21st.

Bonkers.

It's a nuts league. Where L1 is definitely a league of the have's and have nots, the Championship has so much less disparity. L1 is already taking shape, I would think the top 8 will largely be the top 8 come the end of the season and the consistency against the lesser sides shows how big that gap is. We saw it last season with the points total needed for 6th.

With the Championship though there's of course some likely suspects near the top, but when you see West Brom, Stoke, Birmingham, Boro all in the bottom 7 it makes you realise how tough a league it is. They could easily switch with Reading, QPR, Blackburn from the top 7 and you would think nothing of it. The games often seem so narrow too, nobody won by more than 1 goal on Saturday.

I don't know how many black cats (feline, not Mackem) the WBA fans have run over, but they have every dreadful jouneyman manager the game has to offer this century.

I have a sneaky suspicion it might do. A mate of mine played against them last weekend and was super critical of them. Reckons all isn't well there, there was some in fighting etc, and they really didn't deserve the win.

Think it's fair that having the quality is getting them over the line but they certainly seem like a whole that's performing below the sum of its parts. They've got Watford, Sheff United and Burnley all away in their next 5, think it'll be an interesting test of where they're at.

100% agree on all points. The league is absurd.

Faves for relegation Reading and Birmingham 3rd and 19th

Faves for promotion West Brom and Boro 22nd and 18th.

1/3 of teams have changed managers. Crazy

Glad to hear it. A gradual collapse ending in a 6th place finish then defeat in the playoffs would be much appreciated

That may be so, but they've had a vastly more enjoyable last 20 years than Ipswich Town.
