Probably. But he'll be breathing down Woolfenden's neck if so.

He's better in the air than Edmundson and more comfortable playing on the left side than Edmundson. However, he doesn't offer the same ball playing Skills as Edmundson, which is crucial to the way we pass out from the back. If we reverted to the 3 at the back system, then I wouldn't mind seeing Fridge take Doncacien's place and Burgess playing in the left, with Woolfenden in the centre.

I don't think Burgess' limitations in the passing game harmed us earlier in the season. I do think Donaicen has seen a drop off since then, though, so perhaps it will impact us now more than before. Hopefully Janoi won't play at Bracknell and the break will do him good.

Maybe last year. I saw little evidence of him being worse on the ball than Edmundson this year.

I’d say it’s very likely Burgess comes back in when fit on 16:57 - Oct 30 with 3078 views | Simonds92 | Imo Edmundson is our best CB in terms of all round game and if he was playing on the right or in the middle he'd be a lot more comfortable. I like Burgess defensively, what concerns me is his body position being so closed when he recieves the ball, it almost always means he has to play the ball inside rather than opening his body and giving him the option to play out to LB. I do think we'll play ourselves in to danger doing that.

Total nonsense of course and I think we will see the positives he brings to a KM side when he returns. Need a gnarly man amongst all the pretty stuff.

One size is nearly 42 now so probably a good job we don't play him. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitz_Hall

We have for the defence in general. A couple of changes - Burgess for Edmundson when there were concerns about the latter's form and Keogh for Woolfenden at Morecambe, but otherwise in the league we've stuck with Donacien - Woolfenden - Edmundson - Davis when we have been able to.

I’d say it’s very likely Burgess comes back in when fit on 17:48 - Oct 30 with 2866 views | TresBonne | I would say Donacien, but this isn't FIFA career mode. Edmundson, Woolf, Burgess back three wouldn't provide the same level of dynamicness (new word) that we have with JD, and would take away Burns' license to Burns a bit.

Yes, I think Burgess' ball playing skills have improved a lot this season. He probably hasn't had to play that way before, and no doubt McK will have worked on him a lot, just as it is obvious that Edwards' end product has been dramatically improved.

Keogh was on when we made it 4 - 2 so that didnt really work out. Burgess for me as before he got injured was really on form and I do not get the he is less technical than Fridge in fact I would go as far and say we looked far more comfortable with Burgess on the left of the 3 and he and Davis were linking up well.

Quite, but coming on with two minutes to go and not yet got into the game is a totally different scenario to starting.
