Hopefully Messi tears on Sunday… on 10:20 - Dec 14 with 1527 views | J2BLUE | Why? The greatest player of a generation who has delivered on the biggest stage at 35. Can't help hoping he gets his medal. Unless by some miracle Morocco get to the final, then it's the classic support the underdog story.

Can't help but agree with you. It'll hopefully put the Messi/Ronaldo argument to bed as Messi having not won the world cup is constantly bought up.

If France get to final Think I would prefer a Argentina win think all neutrals want Morocco

Morocco or the Argies for me....the thought of France winning their 3rd WC in just 24 years is unbearable.

If this is turning into a “most objectionable player left in the competition” thread, I am voting for the Argentinian keeper - so chippy after the Dutch game

Don't care, they're not having those islands back. They're ours and no one else's. I might even visit there one day; a bit of fresh air never did anyone any harm. Freezing cold, icy air, moving at a great speed with the sort of strength that can only be mustered by many miles of open ocean.

Hopefully Messi tears on Sunday… on 12:24 - Dec 14 with 1288 views | clive_baker | We'll be in that awful position of having an Argentina v France final where I'll want both to lose. Probably the 2 countries I least would've wanted to win it of those in the last 16. Hoping Morocco can win it but not holding out much hope of that.

It certainly would be a nightmare final for the Sun.

Promoting Saudi Arabia is a step too far for me. Allez les Bleus.
Hopefully Messi tears on Sunday… on 12:59 - Dec 14 with 1144 views | DecageBruce | Whenever asked or thinking about the Messi vs Ronaldo debate I have always fallen on the Messi side due to his manner and style. However, I also always respected Ronaldo, his style and achievements. Recent events have made me loose some of that respect for Ronaldo and I would like to see Messi lift the trophy to give him one up on Ronaldo for future discussions/assessments of their respective careers
Hopefully Messi tears on Sunday… on 13:22 - Dec 14 with 1083 views | usm | I like the way Argentina approach and play the game - they seem to be full of winners, so I'd like to see them win it, although I'd also like to see Morocco give it a good go. Just hope its not France.

I'm not a huge fan of Argentina, but having seen Messi's exceptional performance last night at the age of 35, it would be hard to begrudge him a WC winner's medal, especially if he puts on another show.
