We'll be in that awful position of having an Argentina v France final where I'll want both to lose. Probably the 2 countries I least would've wanted to win it of those in the last 16. Hoping Morocco can win it but not holding out much hope of that. |  |

Whenever asked or thinking about the Messi vs Ronaldo debate I have always fallen on the Messi side due to his manner and style. However, I also always respected Ronaldo, his style and achievements.
Recent events have made me loose some of that respect for Ronaldo and I would like to see Messi lift the trophy to give him one up on Ronaldo for future discussions/assessments of their respective careers |  | | |

I'm not a huge fan of Argentina, but having seen Messi's exceptional performance last night at the age of 35, it would be hard to begrudge him a WC winner's medal, especially if he puts on another show. |  |
