Just had a look and the drinks contain coconut water and other bits that can be obtained almost anywhere at almost any time.

Made me laugh a couple of months ago when I watched the news on TV and they had story about this drink and people paying £10 a bottle for what's basically flavoured water.
But that laughter turned to sadness.
A lot of people laugh at my (old) generation and how we didn't have the awareness the Internet provides now to make it easier for people to make judgements. But many people are brainwashed just as much now as in my younger days, the Internet has actually made that easier, really sad.
I also find it mad that withball this financial crisis people keep telling us people are suffering with, those people are still happy to pay £1.99 for a bottle of flavoured water - what financial crisis? |  | | |

I look back at my time in Nigeria as quite a good guide to a free market with little/no constraints.
So when there were fuel shortages in the UK, the Brits just queued and the odd petrol station got stick for extortionate/opportunistic pricing. When there were shortages in Lagos, area boys would queue up with canisters and then walk along the line of queuing motorists offering for sale petrol at double the price in the station.
Which was all good, but the really entrepreneurial ones would water it down so you were paying double for petrol/water.
On the upside, when sitting in the traffic jam waiting for petrol on a hot day, quite quickly someone would be trying to sell you a cold drink, reasonable mark up on the supermarket and very welcome too.
Public transport was also largely unregulated so buses would add to their usual fares when fuel was scarce.

I had to pay over £10 for 4 litres of screen wash on the bloody M6 last week - I'm still recovering from that. | |

Plenty of countries have very large industries producing bottled water with a few bubbles in it, for a small fortune.
And wtf is coke other than coloured carbonated water with some sugar? Yet the world over we buy into the brand.
