Dominic Raab is a semi-sentient haemorrhoid. That he still gets wheeled out by the government when he's under investigation for multiple bullying complaints shows what a useful idiot he is and how morally depraved the Tories are.
They seem to get more vile by the day! Also according to Raab Paul O'Grady "showed why it is necessary to avoid the constraints of 'wokery' on comedy". WTF does that mean??

That nothing is safe from the paranoid 'wokey cokeys'
Even a friggin Greek stature sets them off.
And I doubt the hypocrisy of the party behind Clause 28, using the death of an entertainer, who was gay, and fought against that legislation will be not missed by most.
Clause 28 roughly ran on the lines of teaching about homosexuality would encourage youngsters to become gay.

Especially amusing given the current incoming obsession with drag queens being pedophiles.
The latest plan is to chuck them in RAF Scampton, the historic home of the Dambusters, and RAF Wethersfield, where I used to live.
Wethersfield is entirely unsuitable - 10 miles from Braintree where there isn't anything much anyway, down narrow B roads with no public transport. The accommodation blocks they are planning to use were built in the 1950s and have barely been touched since the Americans moved out in 1990.
Organisations which aim to preserve the history of both locations have been thrown out to facilitate the plan.

...Wethersfield was going to be a prison.
The MOD are disposing of it permanently in 2 years.

NIMBYs for you. Do something about it but somewhere else.
Not really. Wethersfield, or more importantly the infrastructure around it, was never best suited to a heavy engineering squadron when the USAF had it, but the Yanks worked with the locals, immersed themselves in local life and the inconveniences were accepted.
The prison plan has so far not gone any further than a written MOJ proposal, but that proposal is to build the biggest men's prison in the UK on part of the airfield and leave the rest to rot. The locals are unhappy about all the construction vehicles etc that will be up and down the narrow B1053 for the four years it will take to build.
Now we have the asylum centre. Unannounced until today but obvious from about a fortnight ago when urgent fencing work started and Army families in overspill housing from Wattisham Barracks were told they had to leave the housing patch immediately. Then planes started flying over the base yesterday for the first time in years. I have no time for James Cleverly but he wasn't told and neither were Braintree DC who are planning to object. Hi guys, here's an asylum centre that we've literally planned in secret and announced as a fait accomplis. Is it any wonder that people are a bit p'd off?
As for the Heritage group, the MOD cleared them out not by giving them notice, or offering any help to find them an alternative location, but by cutting the electricity off from the building they were using. Classy, particularly as the group is run by one of their former employees. The Chapel building on the site has memorials to wartime servicemen from both the USAF and RAF. In the unlikely event that the building survives, no one will look after the memorials as there will be no one there who cares.
Proper funny if you ask me

What makes you think he might not be quite with it?
