Really doesn't get any lower than stabbing pre-school children. Scumbag.

Heartbreaking. I hope they pull through, physically and mentally.

Thats certainly the firs thing I felt, mixed with anger, but then thats what the cnt wants us to feel (assuming there's any rationality left in his head), so I'm going to switch off and try and stay calm. As mr toff says, I hope to God those kids pull through.

Justb announced that one of the children is a British national. Not that that makes much difference in all honesty.

Nothing “so-called” about it. Granted asylum in Sweden from Syria.
Has severe mental health issues I’d wager, reportedly was uttering, “In the name of Jesus Christ” every time he stabbed someone.

I saw President Macron use the word cowardly but it seems to me, as it does here, to be a very odd word to use. Surely someone who stabs pre-school children is mentally ill rather than a coward?

I prefer a different C word.

I guess you could make a case that anyone who sets out to murder strangers has mental health issues. It’s not normal behaviour is it.

Setting out to murder strangers is certainly not normal, but there are sometimes motives. Setting out to murder 2/3 year olds has to be mental health problems, surely? No rationally thinking human being would stab toddlers.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I don't know why media or authorities give so much air time on his possible mental issues or particularly his motives...nobody cares about the motives of the big brave boy who targeted such innocents...he should have been shot dead immediately & thrown in the deepest cesspit on Earth
Sorry, no comedy from me on this subject

In every tragedy such as this the big story is always about the victims - the smaller story of why someone did this is important to unearth and to understand so that it doesn’t become more frequent. To undercover the warning signs and deal with them at an earlier stage.

Prevention is better than cure.

By ignoring the root cause, society will simply allow it to grow and grow.

There are no more motives behind going to stab strangers who are adults then there are to stab strangers who are kids.

Both are the actions of a total See You Next Tuesday.

You're right, of course, but our civilised ideal keeps being visited by evil & sorry, but because it just keeps happening, I think enough time has been wasted on poncing about trying to "understand" their motives, because time & again, by definition, it's proved beyond any reasonable doubt that this "civil" approach just doesn't work.
There will be accusations that we "shouldn't sink to their level", but the more who are shot dead at the earliest opportunity & thrown into the foulest, deepest cesspit is all the world needs to know & will be a more effective deterrent

Because it's got to be about victims.

Prevention is better than the cure? Bang on, speak to the politicians and their policies.

By ignoring it society will allow it to grow......what? Again, it is nowt to do with the society, it is about politicians and their decisions.

Someone who thinks society has wronged them? Racism? A terrorist or religious fundamentalist? Someone trying to prove themselves to get in a gang? Someone who wants drugs or money? Road rage? Someone fleeing another crime? There are loads of reasons why someone might stab an adult stranger.

I'm not saying they're good motives but they are motives for some. Stabbing a 2 year old stranger who doesn't even know anything about the world yet, is completely defenceless and of no consequence or harm to anyone else, doesn't appear to have any motive.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.
