The Titan sub story was big news when it was apparent it was in trouble and therefore the recovery is also in the news. In a week it will be yesterdays news. The immigration policy of this awful government , tragic deaths trying to cross the Med and the channel crossings are also big news and media news stories are reporting on this subject every day and it wont go away. He’s got a bit of point in general, although I’m not sure a comparison between the two is helpful (different things, different reasons why the sub would be considered more newsworthy which has nothing to do with migrants).
The media are a large part of the reason why some people have been turned against asylum seekers though, but that’s a slightly different issue. |  |

Must admit I’m struggling to see the rationale for the attacks (too strong a word) on Noggin. I don’t think the OP is particularly logical (as I said above), but it’s coming from a genuine place criticising how our media’s approach to refugees is pretty disgusting. Which it is. Because this thread doesn’t come from a position of empathy towards the poor souls who lose their lives trying to cross the med in search of safety and a better life. Just a few weeks ago hundreds of migrants lost their lives after the capsizing of the Adriana in waters off the coast of Greece. There was a thread discussing the tragedy. Not a peep from Noggin. No angle for him their to fight class warfare on a football message board.
He’s using drowned migrants as a political football in order to score points against the people who lost their lives on the Titan. Because they were wealthy.
Migrants aren’t tools to be used in class warfare.
