Really? Isn't he just talking about a change in language to better communicate a message? It happens all the time in the public representation of scientific concepts. Global warming becomes climate change when we realised that 'warming' wasn't an adequate enough descriptor. And that has now changed to climate emergency, as climate change wasn't seen as representing the importance of the issue. The underlying concepts haven't changed though. Like with UFOs; the concept of there being unexplained sightings hasn't changed.

A great player for Town, very much missed in the immediate period he was gone. Did very well at Leicester and was part of a good squad there. Nothing but love for that man, he run his legs off for Ipswich and is often overlooked when we talk about great strikers but he was great, I am just disappointed we didn't get to see much of the Marshall/Mathie partnership in the Premier League.

Global warming is the trend for the average temperature of the planet to increase over time. It is clearly demonstrated and scientifically linked to increased emissions of greenhouse gases.
The Greenhouse Effect is the result of those greenhouse gases. There is a natural Greenhouse Effect that leads to the planet being around 40 degrees C above what it would be otherwise (and thus makes water-based life possible).
Climate change is where the usual patterns of weather are altered due to an increase in the Greenhouse Effect caused by the additional greenhouse gases.
Climate emergency is a newer term and I think it is environmental groups that have introduced this for the reasons you give.
As for a UFO, once it lands and is identified, it is simply an object.

It was quietly changed to UAP quite a few years ago, perhaps it was to try and keep it hidden from FOI requests.
