Mentally weak 12:49 - Jan 15 with 2818 views | NthQldITFC | This tweet reminded me of the 'mentally weak' label certain OinkUn posters were throwing at us. Were they right?

Mentally weak on 13:03 - Jan 15 with 2643 views | gainsboroughblue | The whole 'mentally weak' thing is the most bizarre, desperate thing I've seen levelled at us this season. A club fresh from promotion from league one, 2nd place, lost 3 times, the equivalent of 6 or 7 wins from losing positions. Absolutely cretinous take even allowing for the obvious biases.

Mentally weak on 13:18 - Jan 15 with 2508 views | SaleAway | I did a blog about phoenix points back in 2017, when we were top of the comeback kings table... interestingly then, we won 30% of available points after going behind, this season we've 20 points from 13 deficits, which is just over 50%.... absolutely ridiculous self belief and control from this squad... its nae normal, I tell ye...

It's two main things (these are not the only ones), in my opinion. KM has, very clearly laid out what he expects from the team as a collective and also it's very clear that each player understands their role within that. So, clarity of purpose first off. Second, the players buy into it. They have seen first hand, if they 'keep playing' as KM has asked them to do so, chances will come, opportunities will be taken and matches will be one. Fans need to understand this - a fair few have been talking about changing our approach to matches or focusing more on defending etc. The evidence is clear and right in front of our eyes.

Makes it hard to treat the Pink Un as a newspaper, when it's clearly become a Norwich fanzine. A bit like ITV Anglia

Mentally weak on 16:41 - Jan 15 with 1952 views | Churchman | I quite like the OinkUn. It’s so bizarrely wrong on so much it’s funny. It also has the smell of the desperate about it. One idiot was banging on the other day about us paying our debts. No idea what he’s on about unless he/she is referring to Administration 20 odd years ago. Aside from the irony, or should I say firelightery, of them allegedly burning down a stand for the insurance dough, I thought they were averse to looking back at history? Oh well. Mentally weak? After the fuss Delia and Jabba the Husband made over an empty beer can and an earful that mysteriously turned into an attack by Patriot Missiles and Hannibal Barca I suggest they have a rethink.

They’re talking about us going into administration and essentially not paying our debts, much of which was owed to Norwich Union and allegedly led to layoffs and the like in the Norwich branch. There were a number of local businesses that weren’t paid due to us going into administration I believe. I don’t disagree with the sentiment but unlike Norwich we were not paid to be relegated 5 times and we came down as itv digital collapsed.

Yes, I know all that. For the record, Norwich Union announced pre tax profits of £380m for the first six months of 1999. Assuming that ITFC never paid a penny back of the £30m lent by NU I very much doubt any write off led to staff layoffs. They were a big, rich company even then, not least from ripping off customers with endowment policies that never delivered what they promised. Local businesses - that’s a different story. Sadly, without going into this over and over again, the voluntary arrangement was to give creditors back something, even if it was only 5p in the pound. Not nice really, but it was that or zippo. What do the good citizens of burndownastand city expect? The current owners to go back down 20+ years and recompense these people when it was nothing to do with them? Clubs mismanaged into bankruptcy are a sad feature of recent decades. It’s morally wrong that suppliers should be on the thick end of it but it’s that or a lot less clubs than there are now. Leicester also got into bother at that time, but I don’t remember any mention of that when they became the nations darlings 15 years later. I don’t remember anyone looking too hard at what went on at Rangers either. Some of what they got up to made Ipswich and Leicesters antics look very lightweight. I suggest our desperate yellow friends wind their necks in and enjoy their free parachute money.

Ignoring the elephant in the room which is that had Delia not shored them up a couple of times, they would have been in exactly the same position as us.

Maybe they should change the name from Carrow Road to Ronson Road to give it a warmer feeling. Shame we couldn’t have sold them Giles Coke. He’d have fitted in well. Or Coal Skuse instead of him going to Colchester

We could lend them Elkan Faggot and Wes Burns (when he’s 65). They already have Fuel Fox and Clive Woodsburner played for them of course.

From memory Leicester City FC simply walked away from their debt . No points deductions? No level of compensation to any people they owed money to. All conveniently forgotten by everyone ….,
