I watched it religiously in the beginning and it became a chore to watch. From a technical point of view it gets REALLY jarring and obvious later on as the availability of actors leaves you with a bunch of episodes in a row that focusses on one or two characters together for an episode, then the next episode is of one or 2 other characters (and so on) but over the same timespan as the other episodes. I butchered that explanation but imagine a season that spans 2 or 3 days and of the 20 or so episodes it is just a profile of what a very small subset of the ensemble has done in that time, one after the other, while the story arc is almost stood still.
It has good moments, but since The Last Of Us came out (almost perfect) it really shows how shabby of a show it is in parts.
TLDR: Watch 'The Last of Us' instead, it is a way better story and actually makes zombies quite fast, agile and scary rather than a shambling crowd.

Good first few series but as time went on, the plot holes like the characters seemingly being able to have developed the ability to teleport miles and miles from one second/scene to the next used to really get on my t*ts, and it took me right out of it. [Post edited 2 Jun 2024 15:00]

If you want a good zombie fix, I'd recommend The Last Of Us if you haven't seen it. Some superb acting and story telling. Only 1 season out at the moment but season 2 is coming next year. |  |

It's like a lot of American series. They drag on and on and kill the life out of them literally. There's only so many zombies you can see have the faces smashed in and heads chopped off. I watched one of the new series and couple of days ago and switched over as I was bored with it. On the subject of a lot of these new series why is it that they insist on going back two years then forward six months then back again. It really annoys me when the do that as you don't know where you are. But a mention for Tokyo Vice which I think is excellent. |  | | |
