| Names for CM please 10:48 - Jul 17 with 5919 views | IndependentlyBlue | Think we can all agree that there needs to be new faces in midfield for the coming season. I know Downes divided opinion but that ship has sailed. I honestly thought that we would have signed Sheaf by now but no. So, what realistic options to TWTDers see for the club to go for? Yes, I am bored | |

+1 for Berge. Seen Moder from Brighton mentioned on here. Younger than Sheaf, 57 PL appearances under belt and played for Poland 26 times too.
| Names for CM please on 11:20 - Jul 17 with 4142 views | tractorshark | Kevin Stoger at VfL Bochum Great engine, technically good, excellent free-kick taker and aggressive. Proper eye for goal, 7 goals, 9 assists in the Bundesliga last season. Only snag is he’s 30 which doesn’t really fit our policy but he is a late bloomer. | | | |

I'm not against 30 year olds, but CM is not an area where we need another one. Unless he was a proven prem player.

Would be nice, but even the transfer fees that have been mentioned (let alone wages) would surely be a problem. Far from gospel, but football365 are talking about £40m in connection with a potential move to Galatasaray. You'd think we'd need to halve that, and probably more than halve his wages, to have a prayer.

| Names for CM please on 13:30 - Jul 17 with 3128 views | Bellevue_Blue | I think the fact that we're a month into the window with little to no links for CM means that we are almost definitely looking at top-division players who likely want to know where they stand before committing to the Ipswich project. That or that's where we are probably keen to commit to signing a loan player. I thought Sheaf would have been a slam dunk given his statistical similarities to Mass/ Morsy but I suspect we are probably being priced out of that one at the moment. Still my picks would be ... Ben Sheaf - Cov Carney Chukwuemeka - Chelsea - Loan Angel Gomes - Lille (Very ambitious) | | | |

| Names for CM please on 13:57 - Jul 17 with 2885 views | tractorshark | One more name from the Bundesliga… Anton Stach at Hoffenheim. 25 years old, 6ft 4in, box to box midfielder, very strong, decent passer and weighs in with assists. Very good in the air at set-pieces. I watched him a lot at Mainz where he was exceptionally good. Got a bigger move to Hoffenheim where he has played well in a team that is beginning to find its feet again after a rebuild. Does the simple things well. He’s the sort of player you don’t always appreciate until he’s not in the side and then everything seems to unravel. | | | |
