There is already a 3 page thread on the pinkun on "How long do we give him ?"

Poor bloke. He has only had 5 league games and they have sold most of their best players.
Gve him a chance.

He's also averaging a point a game which might be enough to give them a chance of staying up. I'm not sure what more they're expecting.

And the players they have signed, most have come from abroad. Ive seen comments to suggest that a few of the replacements appear lightweight and lacking the pace of the championship.

They got ridiculous money for some crap players didn't they. Have they spent any of it or has it all gone into Delia's handbag? That American lad up front is still there isn't he? Shame he's injury-prone. If he survives the first half of the season without injury I'd be tempted to have him here as third striker and let Al-Hamadi go out on loan in January.

Those would seem fair comments. They don't have a lot of strength or desire in that team at the moment. Not a good combination. Lol.

I think they'll have enough about them for mid table, but there's no way they'll be challenging for top 6 this season.

Its likely gone towards keeping them afloat in the absence of parachute money. They've still got a hefty wage bill thanks to plodders like Duffy, Hanley and Barnes being on north of £100k a week between them. Give it another year of non promotion and they'll have to move on the likes of Sainz and Sargent, truly consolidating themselves as championship also rans.

I'm wondering if the stars align and Farke becomes free for a return at some point. Hopefully Leeds can stay on the coat tails of the top 2 and that doesn't happen as he was clearly a good fit for them and would buoy the otherwise passive crowd.

I rather enjoy the posts where they talk about a rebuild and it will take time.

How many parachute payments have been wasted to get to the point you need a rebuild..

They talk alot about their attendances. Let's see what happens with years and years of nothingness.

Is n't he a bit old for them now.
And he was all burned up too.
Great driver in his time though.

Has it already become apparent that he's not up to it? Not all European managers are suited to the English leagues. You can see how ITFC recruits in that KM is very selective on the non-British and Irish players he brings in because we aren't in a state allowing new signings to bed in to the English game.

They do seem to be providing a lesson in exactly what not to. Parachute payments are there to help the transition. Wagner wasn't great, but if there was the expectation he had to get them up or else, then where does that leave any kind of long term plan.

Seriously who cares. They went aimlessly into a tie with Leeds in the playoffs when they hoped for us. They got royally stuffed and its wake up time for that club.

Duffy, Hanley and Barnes being on north of £100k is both ridiculous and amusing. They have to be the three of most overpaid players anywhere. Both defenders are worse than the one we have on loan at Middlesbrough and the striker worse than a young Iraqi player who would have went on loan had we secured another striker.

Such a weird appointment for Stoke, getting in the assistant from a club near the bottom of the champIonship seems odd. Sound like he was well thought of at the budgies but he has only been an assistant coach there for a year.

It would be rather delightful if the budgies had the answer to their problems already in house but Stoke Poached him and he did a wonder-job for them. There’s so few games in the premier league compared to what we’ve been used to that a bit of season long meltdown over the county line would be a perfect bit of light entertainment to flick over to during all these ad breaks

Looked like about 300 of them at Swansea.
