Had we signed Broja 15:41 - Dec 15 with 2629 viewsNeedhamChris

He'd be likely be starting for us next week - still think this is one that might have made a difference for us.

Seems to have made a decent start for Everton performance wise.

He's been out since the summer, he's likely to be rather rusty, even if he's fit enough to return. Not sure he'd offer much more than a new signing in January would.

How are you judging 'decent start' here? He has only played 24 minutes, in a game where Everton had 2 shots in the entire game.

All he’s done is sat on the bench for a couple of games, played 10 minutes and earned a yellow card.

Ah yes, but what a 10 minutes!

He may have a good second half of the season, but we dodged a bullet there. Assuming we can find someone decent in Jan.

Big fan of Broja and really wanted him but it was absolutely the right call not to take him and pay him while he was injured.

Massive risk and you only have to look at Mason Mount going off again to see how easily injuries can return when you're coming back to fitness.

Truly impaired.

He'd have been so far away fitness wise and it will have then taken him a while to learn how McKenna needs him to play and learn where people are on the pitch etc. It was absolutely the right decision to not sign him.

Probably best just to focus on who is here and what they are doing for us. No point in should of, would of, could of.

You've got to remember that he would have taken a squad place. So we would have been without one of Ali/ Taylor/ Broady etc since August.

The decision to not sign him has absolutely been vindicated.
