Genuine question for all... January 17:07 - Dec 18 with 4776 views | FrimleyBlue | Would you spend what ever we are able to on 2/3 prem experienced quality players. Or spend what ever we are able to on 4/5 high ceiling potential potential players.

Genuine question for all... January on 17:33 - Dec 18 with 3971 views | MK1 | If a couple of experienced PL players are available in the correct positions, then I would take them. However, we need a forward and I can't think of any that would fit that position at the moment, so I would go for either Carlton Morris (a little PL experience) or Latte Lath.

Genuine question for all... January on 17:40 - Dec 18 with 3930 views | Radlett_blue | We can't afford ready-made, established PL players & they probably wouldn't be keen to come to a relegation threatened club. A loan of an experienced PL player who isn't getting game time & who might be out of contract in the summer is a possibility. So we're more likely to continue with signings with potential, although there won't be many bargains in January as hardly anyone is a seller, unless a player is out of contract in the summer. A right back & a centre forward are priorities.

These are a good option. I know it’s heresy, but I’d look at Sainz too. He’s a good player trapped in a yellow sack who needs rescuing. The lad Chris Rigg at Sunderland looks a prospect too.

I would love sainz. Whilst clarke is our development player. That invert left position is sainz. Maybe clarke could be developed into a whole forward like role instead?

I'm still gutted we didn't sign that Tanaka who went to Leeds. Loved him.

Only worth bring Udogie in if we can sign his mate Luis Fido who I’m sure could do a job. Maybe that Great Dane Kasper Schmeichel too. Bit late for Johan Crufts sadly. [Post edited 19 Dec 2024 12:03]

Which brings us round full circle to Lassie Lath. "Woof! Woof!" "What's that? There's some guys in blue shirts trapped down the bottom of the table?!? Let's rescue them!"

I love the idea of buying the Budgies by far and away best player. Then only bringing him on at the 70th minute.

I got my Spurs supporting uncle with that joke. During his first season, I asked him, "is he a new player or has he come through the youth setup?" He replied, "no, we bought him" I said, "ah, so I guess we finally know the answer to that age old question" He looked confused, and I said, "how much was Udogie in the window?" That's exactly his silly sense of humour, he cracked up

I know its not particularly sexy but I did wonder whether Danny Ings might be available as a short-term option. Not getting much game time at West Ham at the moment and bags of premier league experience. Not sure they'd sell/loan him to a potential relegation rival though
Genuine question for all... January on 12:33 - Dec 19 with 2258 views | BlueandTruesince82 | I think we need a striker and a RB with Axel out, Johnson lay be disappointed with that and i do think he can be a player but an alternative is needed so we have cover, loan would be fine there.

Genuine question for all... January on 13:30 - Dec 19 with 2132 views | Bellevue_Blue | I'd rather we get players permanently who are high ceiling players who we can either quickly profit from or players that will contribute to the team regardless of where we are next year. The likes of James Mcatee from City, Tom Fellowes from WBA, Latte-Lath from Boro etc all seem like sensible moves.

I agree we have been shaky down the right but who goes in the situation we bring in a RB. Let's say Axel is back in March, surely we can't carry Clarke, Johnson, Tuanzebe & New RB.

Unfortunately I do see Clarke as being on his way in this scenario, sad as that would be. Maybe there is someone that can do a job at both RB and RAM as required.

We want a CM and CAM, the latter presumably to release OH to the wing
