Your team to play Fulham 17:23 - Jan 3 with 2227 views | GlasgowBlue | I'm loathed to change a winning team. However, as we are playing away I would swap Wes for Ben Johnson and if Morsy is going to play as deep as he did against Chelsea I would bring in Taylor in place of Broadhead as a number 10 who will drop back to play closer to Cajuste when we are under attack.

Your team to play Fulham on 17:42 - Jan 3 with 2084 views | Exiled2Surrey | Don’t think Wes was a particularly attacking selection suited for a home game - his best work was pushing that long haired FB into his own half - and doing the same to Robinson would not be a bad outcome But how many times has McKenna named an unchanged side / done what we expected this season? Traoré was such a threat in the home game, but he hasn’t been playing recently, so wonder whether he will be selected for them I think they have improved, but so have we - will be fascinating

They both played very well but I think both suited playing at Portman Road. I think we will be doing more defending on Sunday.

Your team to play Fulham on 00:53 - Jan 4 with 1578 views | Nutkins_Return | Taylor is NOT a number 10 and doesn't have the ability/experience to play there at this level. First touch/close control/ability to turn in tight spaces, back to goal play/threading tight balls through the lines that far up field etc. Never understand why people think shoehorning Taylor into a 10 over actual 10s is a good move. He has a belting shot on him which suits the position but not the rest at this level. Could do a cracking job in L1 at 10. But he wants to play a higher level and he has more of a shot in CM.

McKenna was “shoehorning” Taylor into the number 10 role when bringing him on as a sub towards the end of last season.

This would seem to prove that he's not seen as a starter in the 10 role as it's never happened (from memory) and your examples are from closing out matches which is a totally different use case. I would be astonished if Taylor starts as a 10 tomorrow or any other day for us this season baring horrendous injuries. Broady has done well and did well at Arsenal, I don't see the need to drop him because we are away. That also doesn't mean he will start, there is a lot of rotation. SB [Post edited 4 Jan 10:04]

McKenna doesn't "drop" players. He picks a team to suit the opposition. Chaplin is a prime example. Sores goals, plays well then isn't in the line up for the next game. That's not being dropped. My view is that if Morsy continues to drop so deep then we are in danger of being overrun in midfield. Having a number 10 who can drop back to support Cajuste would alleviate that problem. It's my opinion. But McKenna knows better than I what we need in the next game.

Your team to play Fulham on 12:05 - Jan 4 with 885 views | Vic | I get your thinking, but I’d stick with the same. I kM not sure that we’re good enough to play one way at home and another away - and with most teams being better than us we8ve needed to bring in a bit more pragmatism than maybe we started with. Hats off to KM for doing this recently. We’ve got our best results with this system so I’d stick with it.

Your team to play Fulham on 12:23 - Jan 4 with 839 views | pointofblue | I can see the logic, and wouldn't be surprised if Johnson came back for Burns. I was one who, before Friday, was calling for Taylor to come in, but as someone who could play in a midfield three with Morsy and Cajuste to make us more solid, and push up if needed. Broadhead's performance against Chelsea is making me shy away from that.
