Saints are very lucky not to be a goal down, not sure they look further along than us at all. It's a more open game than last night but both teams are making errors.

Both teams are actually trying to play football. Birmingham weren’t much interested in that. I don’t think we can tell too much about where we are in competition from last night’s game. It was too chaotic.

Having an overly negative outlook on our chances seems to be more popular than ever at the moment. It's most strange.

Ref didn't help, the game was very disjointed. As you say, Brum more focused on stifling us than anything.

I'm not writing us off, I think we'll get it right but we were very disjointed last night. Both these teams look sharper in their passages of play which is surprising in Wrexham's case. Hopefully this ends as a draw too.

Birmingham didn't want to lose by hook or by crook,

I didn't watch the game, but the commentary and 'expert' analysis from Troy Deeney went on and on about how we were breaking the game up, not letting Brum play, trying to be bullies etc. and there was even one rant about how arrogant we were. It was a really weird listen so I turned it off at half time!

The game was very disjointed to be fair. This is just a very different type of game. Saints look a car crash defensively thus far, they've leaked mods big chances in 25 minutes than we did in 90 and we were playing a better side away from home.

Very unbiased analysis from former Birmingham player, Troy Deeney.

It's a much more open game but Southampton could have conceded 2 or 3, so defensively they don't look better.

That's fair, they have looked very open at the back. The fact that Kieffer managed to run in behind and win a penalty would be a massive concern for them. But both teams have looked dangerous, Southampton had a couple of big chances too. Decent game.

Brum vs Wrexham is going to get an interesting encounter!

How much did Wrexham play for Moore and Windass? And why weren't we in for these two experienced CC players?

Because they are nowhere near PL standard

Should get 12 points from those teams after watching that first half.

And, maybe more crucially, in the absolute game of poker that is the transfer window I'm 100 percent sure we could chuck say £5 million at a club or two and get a player if that ilk final day of the window. The players we want might not all come off, but there is no point grabbing lesser quality early on just because they're there.

Odd take. Different game and very different styles of okay. Southampton at home so going for it so more open. We would have a field day against these two teams. Birmingham were just horrible to play against. No quality just kick push and shove all game.

Can't agree how many points did Birmingham finish above wrexham last season plus Town went into a cauld whilst saints have a home game shown will improve when the window closes and we no who we have to pick from.

We're not in the PL and trying to get players here that are likely PL standard are more likely to go to a PL club than us .... its a difficult situation and fine line for our recruitment team to tread.... do we spend all the window chasing potentially PL standard players, NOW ( I get why), but less likely to secure them, and in the meantime miss out of very good CC players that can get us out of this division, this season. No easy answer....
