I'd venture that the price of your kitty litter has more to do with the last 14 years of the Tories fecking the economy, plus leaving the EU, a pandemic and the war in Ukraine, than anything Labour have done yet. And if your hero Mr. Farage gets in, don't expect the price of kitty litter to improve then either. You'll probably have to eat one of your cats if he gets in.

| Reform candidate says you should be taxed more for not having children on 17:31 - Feb 7 with 2208 views | lowhouseblue | how do you reckon that would differ from the child tax allowance that we had until about 1980? for most of the c20th people without children paid more tax all else given. | |
| And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show |

Kids are future pension payers. Either thst or immigrants, so maybe its no surrpise reform make their preference clear. [Post edited 7 Feb 17:57]

| Reform candidate says you should be taxed more for not having children on 18:12 - Feb 7 with 2021 views | EddyJ | Seems like a sensible policy. If we are cutting migration (as most parties, especially reform) seem to want, we need to increase birth rate to cope. One of the major reasons people cite for not having children is financial. This policy addresses that. They will need to couple it with more support for IVF, children’s services, maternity and paternity leave etc. But as one component of a comprehensive pro-child manifesto, I am in favour. | | | |

Financially incentivising having children is a mentally stupid policy - it means having children for completely the wrong reason. And the policy isn't to give a rebate to people who DO have kids, it is to increase tax for people who DON'T.

Whether you are giving money to parents or taking money from non parents, it’s still a relative financial gain for parents over non parents.

thanks, should've guessed that one, he certainly argued against it. i guess turning up at your place of work isn't something that people with his sense of entitlement like him need to do! send his minions while he gets on with the important work of earning money bigging up child abusers.

Just to cone back to this, whilst I disagree with your conclusion, I do completely agree with the second sentence of your first paragraph.
