| Dilemma re Saturday 11:06 - Mar 17 with 1823 views | seblue78 | My boy has a cup game in Brentwood at 11am which he can't miss, so even if I get the manager to pull him for the last 10 mins it's still gonna take me an hour to get there plus parking and getting to the ground etc. So best case I miss 30 mins but more likely the whole first half. My gut feeling is to come anyway given the importance of the game. Obviously the easier option would be to go home and watch the whole thing on TV. Thoughts? And is there any issue with getting in halfway through the match (never tried before). Poxy 12.30 kick offs. | | | | |
| Dilemma re Saturday on 11:10 - Mar 17 with 1764 views | Marshalls_Mullet | Put your sons football first, let him play the full match without having to rush off. Let him enjoy the team talk etc afterwards too. | |

| Dilemma re Saturday on 11:11 - Mar 17 with 1747 views | Churchman | If it was me, I’d concentrate on your boy’s game and pick up the ITFC match on tv later. | | | |
| Dilemma re Saturday on 11:12 - Mar 17 with 1742 views | BlueandTruesince82 | Never used to be. Once missed the entire 1st half vs Leics then watched a dire 2nd for a goaless draw. I say let the lad play and go home after | |

| Dilemma re Saturday on 11:19 - Mar 17 with 1676 views | usm | Family first, always. Enjoy your son's game - and let him enjoy it too. Don't rush him into leaving early. ITFC will be fine. | |

| Dilemma re Saturday on 11:31 - Mar 17 with 1614 views | seblue78 | Thanks all. He wants to do both! It's not so much he'll miss the game I suppose (I wouldn't do that to him). He's 10 so it's only an hour. And pulling him early won't make much difference given the half-time break. It's more whether I break my neck racing up the A12 for the second half and miss the first or watch it all at home. If it was a less important game I'd stay home. But feels like a biggy for obvious reasons... | | | |

This. Watching your kid play will be over before you know it. ITFC will always be there.

| Dilemma re Saturday on 18:53 - Mar 17 with 1122 views | Swansea_Blue | Have you thought of putting him up for adoption? Family first imo. If he wants to play it all and not rush off, that’s probably your answer. | |

| Dilemma re Saturday on 18:59 - Mar 17 with 1101 views | southnorfolkblue | I had a similar issue last season. My son played his game as usual. We got to the ground as half time was ending. Turnstiles shut at the end of HT, but we managed to get in as I got a steward who was in the bar area of Lower Sir Bob to let us in | |

| Dilemma re Saturday on 19:03 - Mar 17 with 1084 views | VanSaParody | Because your sons match is a cup game, I'd stay for all of the extra time & penalties (hope he gets the winner!) Watch the full 90 on Town TV later COYB's! Oh, &... Come on you seblue78's son! | | | |

This is so true. My daughter hung up her gloves a while back but has picked them up again at Uni. My lad hasn’t long left in youth football. I’m not sure what I’ll do when they’re done. It’s dominated my weekends for well over a decade. Everything else fits around it. To the op, Ipswich will always be there.

| Dilemma re Saturday on 19:27 - Mar 17 with 1001 views | GlasgowBlue | Put your lad's game first. We were both season ticket holder when he was young but when he turned eleven his Sunday team became a Saturday team so we had to give them up. Watching him over the years gave me so much pleasure and when he stopped during his Uni years we picked up going to Town games again. I was looking through some photos of his games and presentation nights just a few days ago. Happy days that I really miss, whereas we'll hopefully be watching Town for years to come. | |

| Dilemma re Saturday on 20:17 - Mar 17 with 884 views | BanksterDebtSlave | I committed to a Beltane/May Day civil partnership in a spontaneous moment over dinner a few weeks back after 28 years of living in sin. We're even having our first holiday (honeymoon!!) in 3 years on the back of it. Did I pause for thought of football fixtures/play offs? Heck no, not for days and days. Should I cancel in case of play offs or just watch in Greece and come back for the final!!!!! We better be top two. | |

Oh man, I feel for you and your lad. Hope he's OK. You now have a different kind of memory and family story that will endure long after Town v Millwall is forgotten. [Post edited 21 Mar 9:01]

For some reason I’m a bag of nerves watching us on tv much prefer being there but it is what it is. Gonna go to his match with him to cheer his team on then back to watch us batter the lions and go second 💪🏼
