I do think Mark needs to come and apologize he really shouldn't be resigning over this , from a football matter hes done nothing wrong and if this was Keir starter or Tony Blair etc we would give 2 hoots, let move on he is key to keeping this club competitive both on and off the field and a voice we as fan listen to but this definitely needs to be dealt with a video of apology. He was shouting and swearing at us for a good 45 minutes - we had to tell him to calm down and stop talking to us the way he was. Could tell from the (non) reaction of the other club staff present, it wasn’t the first time they’d seen him behave like that.
The whole meeting was wild and if I hadn’t have witnessed it myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.
If this is the end of him, then good riddance. Despite his good professional work, as a man, he’s never been fit to lead our great club.

The choice isn't Ashton or Clegg though.
What Ashton has done for this club over the last 4 years is nothing short of amazing. I really wish he could stay on to continue in the same vein.
But for some insane and inane reason he decided to blow that all up by affiliating the club with a political party and then lie about it to the media and the fanbase.
I have no idea why he would do this, but his position is now untenable and he only has himself to blame. I really wish it wasn't the case but he has to go.
