There’s a player we can’t afford to lose!

Horrible second half that, really pushed back by one of the worst away sides in the league. Furlong giving the ball away and then not stopping crosses was particularly unhelpful.

All about results though in April….

Taylor did well after he came on, but I see him as a finisher, rather than a starter.

mcateer was probably our best player today; don't need to rush burns back and have him break down again

Vital to win that any way we could and give ourselves some real margin for error – you'd have to back us now.

Matusiwa going off helped us, inadvertently, when we needed to chase the game but didn't do us many favours when trying to get it back under control later. Solis was able to run it for them. Can't do with Azor missing more than a couple of games, really. But today always felt like a sticky one for me and the huge thing is that we've come through it.

And yet we came from behind to win in a very tense game at the business end of the season without either of them. I am so sick of the narrative all season that this team lacks mentality.

It's not the shouty, crunching tackle-type spirit that we lack.

It's the backbone to take risks with the ball in the middle of the park that we lack.
It's what Burns and co did so well two seasons ago.
It's what Clarke, Philogene, McAteer, Akpom have struggled to do all season.
Mehmeti does it, Nunez occasionally and they make a huge difference to the team when they do.

We limped to a win today, and it was in no way due to any kind of bravery to do any of the above.
In fact, we defended so deeply that we almost caused our own downfall.

It's not the shouty, crunching tackle-type spirit that we lack.

Kieran will coach us all week and set us up to counter the possible loss of Matusiwa.
I still remain hopeful we can get get something at Norwich. Most fans seem to have a defeatist approach to Carrow Road.

We played well for ten minutes whilst B'rum were in the lead and not looking to attack. Once they needed to get a goal we were under the cosh for the entire second half.
