Sounds like their best since All That You Can't Leave Behind.
Bono is and will always be a prize plum but they were a cracking band in their day with Actung Baby being the sort of change in direction most bands with on eye on sales today would be too scared to attempt.

Up to and including Actung Baby they were excellent. Couple after that passable, mainly just a bit dull since then.
The one song I've heard off the new album sounded like a poor man's Coldplay tbh.

I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
'Big Machine' by Eliza Carthy, closely followed by 'Ghost in the Tanglewood' by Ginger Wildheart and 'The Devil's in the Details' by Ryan Hamilton and the Traitors.
