Who has caught Hurstys eye? 16:25 - Jul 18 with 3550 views | Bluefish | I doubt it is texters but he is trying hard Could it be Mcloughlin, it seems Klug was keen to push him on. I wonder if he has been bending down to have a word in Paul's ear Cotter? Mckendry? Ndaba?

I had assumed he would already be 1st material when Hurst turned up but he seems to have not made it yet. Be great if it is him, it will show his debut wasn't a fluke

I wondered about McGavin, excellent passer of the ball, but a bit too lightweight for the first team at the moment I would guess.

My guess would be Drinan, although Jack Lankester was excellent on Saturday [Post edited 18 Jul 2018 17:58]

Who has caught Hurstys eye? on 18:05 - Jul 18 with 3048 views | Herbivore | I think the fact there are several plausible suggestions is the key thing here, looks like we've got a few just behind the current crop - Nydam, Downes, Folami, Dozzer - who may also have the potential to do something at this level in time. I hope those that are a bit further away get the chance to gain some experience on loan, no substitute for regular competitive football.

Actually, Lankester's not a bad shout, Bryan Klug, I think, said how much he'd improved after his loan spell at Bury Town at the end of last season. Was also very good in the last couple of U23s games I saw last season.

Was Mick Mccarthy having looked: McCarthy Delighted to See Drinan Hit Hat-Trick 9th Apr 2018 18:54Town boss Mick McCarthy was delighted to see striker Aaron Drinan net a hat-trick for the U23s in this afternoon’s 4-3 defeat to Hull City, the January signing from Waterford having hit a rich vein of goalscoring form in recent matches. The Blues manager also had praise for Jack Lankester, who impressed alongside the Irishman against the Tigers. 7

Why would our best player be in the under 23s? How odd
