Just... meh. Decent cover which is no bad thing. Don't think he makes the first team better, which should probably be the priority given our squad size, but seeing as I've been moaning for ages that we need another body at CB I'll take it. |  |

Wilson didn't have anything to do at Colchester but almost had a howler where he overran the ball
Didn't see Notts County
Wilson looked more solid at Cambridge, didn't get caught out of position like Guthrie did - but Guthrie was left footed so a better balance offered
I think either would have been fine in reality, as couldn't really bring in a nailed on starter | |

Am I the only one suggesting we need to sign a first team CB?
As senior CB's we have Nsiala, Chambers and Woolfenden. So a fourth would not be out of the question, especially considering the question marks over Chambers' legs.
Skuse and Donacien are effectively emergency cover, as CB is not their primary position. | |

Wilson definitely the more natural. No surprises he went for him although Wilson hasn't had to do much from what i've seen. Can't see Wilson pushing Toto or Chambers too hard but its probably fair to say we've not seen the best of him and he's not really been tested yet.

You don't think so but you don't know.
He had those two on trial for some reason. That might have been as a reserve option, it might have been to have bodies for pre-season. However, there is every likelihood he thought they might be good enough and wanted to see if they were. If he had decided Wilson wasn't, it would be mad to sign him just because there is no one else. Play Skuse there instead until Chambers and/or Nsiala is fit and available. | |
