so, here's a fun one... 18:22 - Mar 13 with 3816 views | BlueBadger | ...family member has come down with classic viral symptoms. I have a night shift tonight, going around the sickest of the sick across the whole hospital. It'll be interesting to see what the duty manager says about this...

I suspect the answer I'll get from the duty manager is 'yes, come in', but, hey.

Thus far, we're still at the 'malingerers staying away because they don't wnat The Killer Plague' stage, but I suspect that will turn around in the next week or so.

Let's face it, you'll only get small odds on me though.

It's a £20 flat fee, luck of the draw. Unfortunately I got the worse pick because the fecker never leaves the house, except to go dogging and as I understand it that's cancelled anyway. As is the South East Ipswich Swingers Society. [Post edited 13 Mar 2020 18:48]

Is this in regards to the hospital or the Ipswich dogging spots?

Wear gloves and stay a metre away from everyone. Make sure the mop is disinfected when you've finished

The hospital I work for already has 338 staff in self isolation. This is getting to crisis point.

I asked on the other thread but not sure you saw - any idea why Norway so disproportionaly effected by covid 19? Lots of cases given the population. SB

Skiing holidays in Italy and Austria, and oil workers travelling to China? I don't know really but Norwegians are generally rich and do travel more than most.

My Norwegian mate actually travels from the UK to Norway to go skiing - better slopes for the kids I believe. I was wondering if the colder temperatures had an effect (covid living longer on surfaces) but the travel point is probably the right one. Norway, Sweden and Denmark have more than 2500 cases between them. SB

A lot of people, without kids, travel to the Alps because the hotels and bars are better. After Ski is as important as the actual skiing.

Heard that the Army's Field Hospitals are coming out of hibernation along with a lot of their civil contingency kit. Sadly I'm too long out to get a reserve call-up but would love to help. If it's gets too bad I can see a few Field Hospitals getting deployed. One problem is that over half of the Army Medical Services total numbers are reservists! Still that leaves a lot of regulars not deployed at the moment. They would be chomping at the bit to get involved.
| Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.
