In that case, why not Woolfie, who played there regularly for Swindon - and let Baggott play where he is good at.
Incidentally, given that Woolfie has been less than wholly reliable at centre back recently, I have wondered whether, with his ability on the ball, he might not be a very good Skuse replacement as a D.M.
McGuiness is better than our other options at centre-back, that's why
What at though? Yes he can head a ball away and he tries a few tricks in areas he really shouldn't but hes lightweight. Goes missing alot. Doesnt know how to mark a player and to top it off hes not even ours.
Loans that arent permanent should benefit you. Theres no benefit on having him in the side in front of our own players as hes not actually better than them at this stage.
He's coming on well in the youth team, but isn't in the top 5 of youth players that I would pick for the first team... yet.
Now he is on pro terms he should go out on loan where he's likely to start, and I would say that would probably be in the conference.
However, I think this contract may well end up being a bit of a false sense of security with the club looking to get more than the pittance that compensation brings.
If he had teams above us looking to sign him I would be shocked if he doesn't have a release clause in there somewhere.

I don’t think he’s lightweight. He just seems like an old fashioned, no nonsense stopper. The trouble is he thinks he’s Pirlo, but he’s more Peter Kay in the John Smiths advert.
There are 3 CBs down here at Swansea (ages 20, 20, 19) who are part of the meanest defence across all leagues and they’re all miles ahead of where McG is. Miles ahead. Maybe that’s an unfair way to judge him, but they’re his peers (one on loan from Chelsea and 1 just released from Man C). I’d have thought an Arsenal product should be at a similar level.

It's McGuinness who should be playing at Fullback. Chambers should be in the middle schooling Woolfenden. This nonsense that McGuinness is our best player has to stop. HE IS NOT OUR PLAYER. Baggott is our player and a Centre Half so should play there when he is ready. Same applies to Ndaba. There is a clear lack of forward planning by the club and this is why we have geriatric defenders and inexperienced youngsters. Chambers may or may not have one season left in him and should be guiding OUR up and coming CBs. Ward was only ever going to be a temporary stopgap replacement until we got a replacement via the academy or by transfer ( this is rapidly becoming a non option now ). Now he is dreadful and should be replaced but by who? Because we haven't actually addressed the Fullback situation there is no-one to come in. Same on the other side ( I know KVY is on the way but so is Christmas ). I'm all for loans if we need an area strengthening but why have we got two midfielders in for an area that we don't require strengthening?
