How about a non unemployed manager 00:06 - Feb 20 with 1225 views | chrismakin | Darren Ferguson initial replies show, not a popular thought lol Are the any currently employed that could be worth looking at in your opinions, although I doubt Evans would pay any compo [Post edited 20 Feb 2021 0:51]

If we’re going down that route the best guy is the one we are coming up against tomorrow in my opinion.

Crewe punch above their weight, relative to budget, recruit well, have an established pattern of play, play on the front foot and play attractive stuff. Obviously Michael Appleton, Karl Robinson, John Coleman and Darren Moore also all doing an excellent job in this division, although, you'd presumably have to chuck a lot of cash at them to consider abandoning their current promotion chases.

How about a non unemployed manager on 08:24 - Feb 20 with 777 views | Chrisd | Of course, but any manager currently employed will cost compensation and we all know if ME can cut corners and do things as cheaply as possible that’s the route he’ll pursue, that’s why we are in a mess and not just on the pitch. On the plus side, there’s a few out of work managers whose stock is still high, but the challenge is whether ME can actually appoint any of them.

How about a non unemployed manager on 08:50 - Feb 20 with 731 views | GeoffSentence | If we are going to postulate on employed managers, Nigel Clough would be a decent shout. Currently at Mansfield, they finished 21st in L2 last year, hadn't won a game this season before he came in. Beat Sunderland in his first game in charge and have won 10 out of his 20 matches as manager. That is some turn around. Won't happen of course, he's only been there since November, he seems to prefer to stay in that area and unlikely tht ME would pay compo. But as a hypothetical employed manager, he is one I would consider.
