Had my first jab friday night 12:53 - Mar 29 with 3771 viewsIP4_Blue

Felt ok sat morning but as the day went on just felt so tired which continued yesterday and today, arm still abit achy but that's fine. Anyone else felt really tired after first jab?
My manager at work had sat and he feels same

What I have read and the anecdotal evidence both from here and my family suggests that this is fairly normal.

Got mine a few back on a Friday lunchtime. By the evening I couldn't keep awake and the following day was similar.
The whole tiredness lasted for about 48 hours before getting back to normal although the ache in the arm lasted about ten days.

Yep much like that, Legs ached for a couple of days and arm very sore for about 3 days.

Yep, had it last Wednesday and tiredness only just easing off although not constant. No arm soreness or aching at least

Good to know this is fairly normal. Obviously everyone reacts differently

Had mine (AZ) Saturday lunchtime. Sadly it didn’t make me nod off in front of the Wigan game. Had a rough night Saturday with chills, then sweats and achy limbs then Sunday that had all gone and I felt as though I had a bit of a head cold. Never really felt tired. Feel fine today other than a sore left arm at the jab site.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

The only side effect I had was a sore arm which didn’t start until 3 days after I had it and it only lasted a couple of days.

AZ.

Yes, that's not uncommon. I wasn't as bad as you just a bit more tired in the afternoons than normal.

That was Pfizer though, the second dose can have a much bigger effect apparently.

After my first jab (Pfizer), I had sweats and chills during the night after and a mild sensation in the arm the following day, but nothing apart from that.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

....my head fell off and I haven't been able to walk or talk since.

But my arm didn't ache, so not too bad.

I think it’s really interesting how different people have had different effects from zero to a day or two of awfulness. Everybody’s immune system is different, I guess.

I’m just pleased to have had it and for a day of feeling slightly ‘hung over’, I’m more than happy compared to how some have suffered from this awful virus.

It's pretty common with most vaccinations as your body is learning to recognise the spike protein in this case which involves both manufacturing it and then "attacking" it.

I've not had mine yet but fully expect there is a chance of a rubbish 24 hours afterwards.

The unofficial advice I've been giving people(having done a a day or two's work as a vaccinator now) is 'don't make ambitious plans for the next day'.

That's a shame, I was looking forward to a few hours in the pub and then a trip to Alton Towers.

I was exactly the same, apart from also developing a slight ache in left lymph gland in neck on day 3 or 4, which lasted a few days.
