We need an executive team at Portman Road IMO that can take some of the day to day decision making away from Evans.
The question is whether or not Evans ego will allow them to get on with it, or if we will be 3 years down the line still in L1 with Evans back having the final say on everything and all three having resigned. Truth is, thats the very real fear. | |

I hope that doesn't happen, I think the academy has a big role to play for us going forwards.
Although from any new owners perspective if you take the last 5 years or so as a sample then the Brentford method has produced far more than our academy.
It's an uncomfortable truth.

Evans didn’t apply for Cat 1 status then, to save a few quid, and by the time even he realised that was a huge mistake it was too late. The existing Cat 1 Academies effectively turned it into a closed shop.

We missed out later by the minuscule amount you mention when Evans realised he had made a monumental error, but by that time the existing Cat 1 Academies realised they were on to a good thing and didn’t want anyone else joining the club! | | | |
