At 66 I think he's probably done, his one USP has been torn apart.

Although, there will always be one club looking for a January firefighter...

West Brom should have stuck with Slaven Bilić, it felt like he was beginning to turn it around and had instilled a never say die attitude in the team that could have gotten them the few wins they needed to stay up.

I think West Brom are in real danger of going the Ipswich/Portsmouth/Hull/Sunderland fall from grace. Their board are seemingly trying to cash in their chips from the Premier League gravy train without any real foresight into future stability.

Uppie because I agree with the post and also because you correctly used 'instilled'. The latter makes you unusual although not unique, WWZ.

I guess somone has to have this opinion, and it’s not linked to LSD post earlier...

Big Sam is right. He gets portrayed as a longball merchant, one trick pony etc. etc. whereas in fact he was (is) one of the most forward thinking coaches of the last 30 years, who’s teased great performances out of some of the most exciting players in the Premier League.

Also, he shouldn’t have been sacked as England manager.

Gee thanks, I'm almost blushing. And you are not the first person to call me unusual...

I’d rather Southgate to Sam with our players.

We would have gone into the last World Cup with the same experienced players if Sam was in charge.

I might have my judgement slightly coloured but his forward thinking against us was to kick the living daylights out of us and then whinge and cry when the ref didn’t fall for it.

It's a strange blub as well. He clearly feels like he's been pigeonholed as a short-term firefighter type but he's just turned down an opportunity to stay at a club more long term...

If allardyce had remained as England manager we’d still be playing with Wayne Rooney chasing balls into the channels.

He pro ably made some very greedy demands that dont make it into the official press release - but in many ways a strange decision - unless they already have someone else lined up. Neil Warnock perhaps.

Maybe he'll come to Town when Cook is sacked before Xmas

He did an interview recently where he said he sees himself as a short-term manager now too.

Come in, pick up someone else's mess, trouser the money and run.
