British record win for a senior level game is, I think, 36-0. So I'll go 12 for most goals by one player.
Most Own Goals: As 2 happen every now and then. So I'll go for 3. 2 is suspicious, more than 3 is "What is the name of the Singaporean bookmaker that you owe money to?" territory.

12 is too high for the domestic league record. Or too low for both international club and country records.
As for own goals you are right with the deliberate but wrong with the motivation. Now, if you are deliberately scoring own goals, you are going to get a long way past 3 aren't you?

Yes, but then it is too obvious. Surely you'd cut your mate in to the deal and score a couple each.
Oh, wasn't there a weird game where both teams wanted to lose in order not to play the perceived better side in the next round, so both tried to score own goals and defended the opposition's goal rather than their own? Is that it?

I recall hearing about that match but, because they both wanted to lose they tried to prevent each other scoring as well so no, it wasn't.
Apparently these own goals were scored in protest against a refereeing decision. All I can say is the referee must have made the dodgy decision very early in the match ... and the team scoring the own goals didn't give up doing so either!

I scored a bucket full for 9th Cubs in one match when we beat someone about 31-0. It’s not that is it?
I’m going for 18.
Yeah, you might have it.
Domestic league match: (fewer than the 12 guessed so far) International competitive club match: (more than the 14 given further up) International competitive match: Both of these answers are close for these.
Then the most own goals in any competitive matches.

In case anyone was interested:
Luton Town's Joe Payne scored 10 in a 12-0 victory in the league in 1936. Both Panagiotis Pontikos of Olympos Xylofagou (2007) and Stephan Stanis of Racing Club (1942) scored 16 in domestic matches. In International football Australian Archie Thompson scored 13 in their 31-0 win over American Samoa.

Only just seen this thread but knew the international one as it wasn’t all that long ago, and football obsessed 16 year old Healy was rather amazed by it. Didn’t have a clue on the domestic ones though!
I was also aware of the own goal protest match but not how many they actually scored
Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010

I'd be interested to know what the record for non-deliberate own goals is.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

This game?
Have heard of that one but I am also pretty sure there was one in Asia where neither team wanted the cost of travelling to the next round of some cup and both were trying their hardest to score in their own net in order to fail to get through while the opposition was defending the opposite net in order to try to make sure they lost. Think it ended up fairly high scoring.
A bit unrelated. You reminded me of this story a few days back. Guy scores own goals to try to stop match fixing and is getting banned himself for.......match fixing.
Not reading down, but wasn't there that game where the players were walking it into their own net in protest. Not sure if the result was expunged. But will go for 20 own goals.
Seem to remember Australia absolutely tanking some island nation 30 or 40 nil. Maybe someone got as many as 15 in that game.

If you’re still interested in that game (Oz v WS) there is a great film that follows the Western Samoa team not long after that result, I think it’s called Next Goal Wins. Well worth a watch and addresses issues far beyond just football.
