You don't need a weekend in Poland to sample the delights of the aforementioned comestible. The braised dish made of edible viscera is widely available throughout this nation of ours (except London, it would seem). A version with sage and breadcrunb is in my opinion the finest haslet to be consumed.

I used to like a bit of Haslet in my younger days, though not seen it for a while. I found it to be superior to luncheon meat, corned beef, tinned or sliced and can even hold it's own up against Billy bear ham

Although I'd hate to visit the factory where those poor bears get their faces pressed onto the slicer. Harrowing. But, much like foie gras, I suppose the secret ingredient is cruelty.
