Which is exactly why we sacked Cook - Mcgreal only had 1 training session with the team ffs, this is Cook’s team and style of play.

Yeah, McGreal’s had about 1 hour of training time with the squad, the players will be doing what they’ve been drilled to do over the last 4 months. We’ve been getting worse for weeks, this is no surprise.

Think that says more about the players to be honest. Time for them to stand up, play for the shirt and all that. Or just go into their shells and look for others to do something.

The problem is we're 4 months in and they still play like strangers. That was what led to Cook getting the boot and frankly it's inexcusable.

Not allowed to judge Cook on 40 matches but we can judge the alternative on 45 minutes before they are even in post.

Sacking Cook such a good idea… on 20:40 - Dec 7 by Herbivore

This is Cook's mess.

Cooks team, playing Cooks formation in Cooks style is losing again, totally disinterested, totally uninspired.

Yes definitely the wrong decision to sack Cook.

Summer clear-out coming.

How exactly ? Did he pick the team tonight or decide to play of position?

This is what you get when you make changes . Get ready for mire upheaval when a new coach/ manager comes in.

Accept it : this is a transitional season and Always was going to be .

His players playing his formation lacking the kind of coherence, organisation, and belief that they've lacked all season. Of course it's his mess. McGreal has had a day to try and clean it up.

Your first line is correct.

Your second line must be sarcastic based on the first line.

The last line is nonsense. The new manager will need to find and utilise tactics that work with the players they have. They can make some changes in January but it will need to be based around who is here and there is no reason why it shouldn't either.

The common theme amongst fans seems to be those who disapprove of the decision are those who dislike change as oppose to have any strong feelings about Cook.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Cook bought this lot in. Awful. He is to blame.

Still, bircham as head coach? Harris? Sad times.

Under Cook they DID play with an understanding, and an element of controlled build up play . We kept possession. Surely even you can see all we are doing is hoofing it forward as quick as we can , thus giving away possession!! Donacian played played out of position… had that changed at half time ? No .

So no where’s the plan B then ??

If Cook had stayed what part of this game would be different? The players? The formation? The tactics? The mentality? No signs that this performance has anything to do with poor Mcgreal.
