Agree, however his social presence to date is going to get haters on his back.
Thoughts:
a) Maybe he need some time away to deal with his personal stuff.
B) Maybe being relegated to the U23s and working with Dyer motivated him.
C) He has kept himself in really good shape and we should recognise that.
D) Cook playing a rigid 4-3-2-1 didn't give him or Piggott a chance of a run of games.
E) His goal against Sunderland shows he is able to make things happen and seize on opportunities.
F) He is well suited to League 1 and will annoy defences and sneak goals which is just what we need.
G) Like others maybe he needs to feel a bit of love and faith from the Gaffer and help him mature. |  | | |

Leaving all other issues aside ,he is really not a very good player. He works hard, although it is often rather ‘headless chicken”, with a potential for disciplinary problems. I can’t deny he has scored three goals recently , but technically , from the little we have seen Piggot is better. Difficult to drop Norwood all the time he is scoring. | | | |

While I agree it’s disgraceful, the system dealt with it. I hope he’s learned, but he’s just one of many people who take that chance daily, he just so happens to be a footballer. People of the 40 and up age bracket will regularly brag about their past drink driving escapades as if it’s a badge of honour but they get to keep their jobs. | |

To an extent, i dont really care what he does off the pitch. The bloke has moved to a completely new area where he doesnt know anyone, within a couple of months he breaks up with his missus, we have a global pandemic which isolates him even further and he starts to get a load of online abuse from the kind of people who preach '#BeKind'. He may be a bit of an idiot but i think it's entirely plausible that others in the same situation may have struggled and gone and done something similar. | | | |

I think the club should encourage better behaviour from him off the pitch and the noises from Ashton are that they expect it.
I expect there will be better support and dealing with things than in the past.
Ultimately, failure to improve on this in Norwood's case would lead to him being unavailable for his job. It is important that these individuals see themselves as role models. In many jobs if we did "brag about past drink driving escapades as a badge of honour" (as has been mentioned above - I am unaware of this but obviously move in different circles), I would rightly be disciplined for it and quite possibly dismissed or even struck off should I persist in it. It is unprofessional. |  |
