Resign already 18:22 - Apr 12 with 3283 views | LeoMuff | What the hell has the war is Ukraine got to do with Boris not resigning, deputy pm can sanction arms delivery. How can he still be spouting that he didn’t know he was breaking any rules, just go now Boris.

Resign already on 18:37 - Apr 12 with 1875 views | Churchman | Nothing whatsoever. He, Sunek and their rabble should have resigned by now. You cannot have one rule for the privileged and one for the plebs. Call an interim coalition govt if necessary to try and sort out Patel’s Ukrainian immigration mess. Their needs are more important than the tories keeping their jobs and access to dodgy expenses.

Resign already on 19:04 - Apr 12 with 1811 views | factual_blue | Perhaps boris needs reminding that his hero Churchill came within a whisker of being booted out in 1942. https://www.historyextra.com/period/second-world-war/1942-churchill-darkest-hour The Labour MP Aneurin Bevan summed up the mood of many with a memorable aphorism: “The prime minister wins debate after debate and loses battle after battle. The country is beginning to say that he fights debates like a war and the war like a debate.” It was only the victory at El Alamein that saved him.

Resign already on 19:09 - Apr 12 with 1799 views | Nthsuffolkblue | He didn't resign for a long time when it was clear he should have done before there was any war. He has no intention of resigning full stop. His party also has no intention of ousting him until it is clear he might cost them their seats at a General Election. If they cynically deal with him leading up to one and try to claim it is him and not them that are corrupt, I do hope the electorate will not fall for it. However, if polls are to be believed, the electorate has little intention to hold him to account anyway.

Resign. | |

There was a terrible moment earlier... on 21:24 - Apr 12 with 1649 views | unstableblue | .. when a senior Tory who is very anti-Boris and already has a letter in stated Boris should stay due to the international conflict and also 'the standards of Parliament are not as strict, Priti Patel recently lied about a Calais immigration centre, and she is still in post....' This cabinet, this Brexit dividend, are dragging down our standards in front of our eyes... Note - I saw the valid concerns of those against EU membership, closer integration and European super state, but much of that was scaremongering by a rabid anti-Eu press. But I also listened to all the experts, all the economists all those experts in trade and global politics, and it was a no brainer. Brexit is now turning really really messy, and extremely damaging, especially to communities who were predominantly leave. The worse thing is that because most tories of quality were remain, and anti-Boris so they were culled... and this cabinet is of such low quality to deliver a Brexit that somehow provides some level of benefit. Which will require, surprise surprise closer engagement and integration with the EU.

Spoiler alert: delivering a Brexit which somehow delivers a level of benefit wouldn't have happened if they were competent, but it wasn't possible. Even a 'Norway' would have shrunk the economy.

Imagine being one of the tragic bootlickers who wants him to stay. It would be funnier if it didn't appear to be 1 in 3(nearly) of the population.

just seen an interview with fabricant who says plenty of teachers and nurses he knows we’re doing the same, having a drink in the staff room after work, they are absolutely full of BS. Working in a hospital I have never seen any member of staff have an alcoholic drink in the staff room after work, let alone during a pandemic.

According to the YouGov poll referenced above, 30% of voters think they should remain in post. That percentage rises to 64% and 57% for Johnson and Sunak respectively from Conservative voters. The electorate overall collectively have no intention to hold this Government to account.

And you know why. You see a sample of it everywhere, people who voted for this sh1t and haven't the courage to accept it was misguided and has gone badly wrong. You see it on here when they lash out at others for daring to question this sh1tshow, preferring instead to hound and pester and name-call and hark back to now irrelevant times decades gone in some desperate effort to justify themselves. That's all they have, that and "what about..." You also know they will be waiting in the wings when this shower are finally gone, ready to pounce on the slightest thing in glee, whilst continuing to live in denial. It's as sad to see as it is damaging to us all. [Post edited 12 Apr 2022 22:41]
