It would seem a distinct possibility the way they are being backed by the owners. No idea of the odds but I would feel very dirty backing them if I were a gambler.

Newcastle for top 4 next season.. on 21:49 - May 16 with 1361 views | BigCommon | Top four is unrealistic imo.. But they could definitely push on, with their new found wealth and perhaps Europa league/conference , top 7.... Eddie Howe has done a great job, so far.. They looked down and out, with The Budgies, before his arrival...

Disagree. 6th overall over the last 20 games. With the biggest budget available going into the summer with a manager who knows how to get a team playing football.

they won't have the biggest budget.... It's what you generate you can spend, their sponsorship is going to be so far behind the other clubs it will take some time for them to be able to compete financially with the big boys, this isn't a Chelsea, Man City scenario where they can spend whatever they want.

But, and it’s a big but, they can’t offer European football (yet alone CL football) to anyone and that is a big draw to most top class footballers. Yes, they can probably offer big wages but the top players who expect to play in the Champions League football won’t go there just yet - not until they crack the top 4. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

You reckon the manager will still be there? Can't see top 4, but top 6 wouldn't surprise me to be fair.

Yeah. I'd always thought be would have ended up as the Arsenal manager, definitely good enough to get Newcastle into that top 4 imo. Must admit, I didn't think of the financial restrictions that the the other poster mentioned. I literally thought in the prem you just spent what ever you wanted.

Champions league football It's total bo**ox really They won't but if they offered more money than those clubs players will jump at the money like a boxer fighting in Dubai or a championship player playing for a league one side
Newcastle for top 4 next season.. on 07:31 - May 17 with 893 views | Chrisd | Howe has done a great job there, considering they hadn’t won a league game for months, they looked in big trouble. They absolutely gave Arsenal a lesson last night and should’ve won by more, top 10 isn’t out of reach for this season.

They've broken into the top 4 before, Leicester did it. Anything to break up the three city stranglehold.

If you take their form over the last 15 games... on 09:22 - May 17 with 686 views | unstableblue | ... they are 5th in the form table, just one point behind Spurs. 1.86 PPG Take that over the season its 70.68... which would have them just behind Spurs in 4th, by one point Given they are going to probably buy 3-5 HUGE players, then I think it s a very good bet
