I see Rishi Sunak is campaigning on 'lets rebuild the economy'. 08:55 - Jul 9 with 1534 viewsBlueBadger

If only he had been in a position to do something about that over the past few years.

Also: Boris Johnson is a corrupt, incompetent bigoted criminal who should never have been allowed near the job after all his meetings with the Russian secret service alone.

It would be like sacking the manager and appointing his assistant.

Sunak has been right there next to Johnson. resigning 2-3 days before the end doesn't give him the moral high ground.

Truly impaired.

Not for most normal people, but you have to look at this through the eyes of paid up Constative party members.

God, thank god he didn't get in.

Corbyn would have taken us back to the 70's with rising inflation, soaring energy and fuel prices and the threat of a general strike.

Sunak won’t be the leader. If he is, we’ll probably have a Labour government of some sort within 2 years.

Boris Johnson has finally had his true colours shown. As much as he was framed as a lovable rogue, the rouge part of that has outshone the lovable part. It was always going to end this way.

I appreciate your dislike of all things conservative and hence always rip them wherever possible (no real complaints from me) I do feel you're being harsh on Sunak. The economy has gone through incredible amount of strain over the last couple of years due to obvious reasons. Not sure any chancellor could have prevented the economy suffering. I actually give him a lot of praise for helping people, stepping in and offering support. That's my though, am sure you will not agree though!

Almost comical isn't it. Just can't stand to listen to the bullsh@t they spout but no doubt some will believe it simply because they want to. No time for Tory weasels - all of them! Ship 'em all out somewhere - Rwanda is supposed to be nice!

Rebuild the economy he oversaw the destruction of? Nice to see he has a sense of humour at least.

-Not clawing back fraudulent furlough cash
-Instead of boosting spending to charge the economy after lockdowns instead burdened us with the highest taxes since the 70s
-No fuel tax cuts or VAT holidays on energy bills to tackle the COL crises.

Other than that he did a cracking job.

Those of us who were paying attention knew what a dangerous, incompetent, untrustworthy weasel Johnson was at least decade ago.
