A14 personalised number plate watch. ANPR cameras already set to alert for H1RST. It could belong to a female street racing modder with a mildly hot Fiesta, though, so a ping isn't necessarily an "incoming" or "imminent", more of a "TWTD wants to believe".

For information, G30RGE still belongs to Finidi. He got it with the Mercedes CLK that he bought off Burley. It only had 20,000 miles on the clock, and the former Manager of the Year got top dollar for it from the Nigerian forward. Two weeks later the head gasket blew. It was the James Scowcroft of used car deals.

If he’s coming in on the A14 from leicester, he’s more likely to pop into Whitehouse Asda than Tesco copdock… unless he wants to get his clubcard points, of course.

Sorry if this isn't the place for a serious post, but Pompey fans are currently trying to determine if this is Hirst's hand. Do we have any hand experts on here?

I live close to Leicester and when driving to Ipswich, Cambridge services is usually as much as my bladder can take.

Need someone on patrol at a discreet distance from the Gents and Costa / Starbucks.

How many of our traditions are still the same ones since Gamechanger came in?

Or possibly by the West Cornwall pasty counter - discreetly by the entrance.

There has to be a small chance from Leicester he is smuggled in a container to Felixstowe then sails back into Ipswich marina down the Orwell. I’m not in Ipswich but if we could get Foxes and the docks covered I would feel more at ease.

It is, but the Pompey fans are trying to work out who's the hand is, with it potentially being a signing announcement teaser too, if it's Hirst's hand.

Poor Finidi, I heard he had sold his 1970 Ford Cortina to fund the transaction. Although the buyer of that did suggest to me that on closer inspection by the garage, it might have been somewhat older than the plates suggested.

It is, but as Hoppy pointed out some Pompey fans were debating if it was Hirst's hand, including some close up pictures for verification! Pretty sure it was all in jest though TBF.

Pure speculation.

If we are still doing deals there appears to be 3 periods left in the transfer window in which any deal will be done.

This week
Thursday, potentially announcing Friday but that trips into prep for an important away Saturday fixture, there is an advantage for us with a clear training week next week.

Next week
Clear of mid-week football, Tues/Thurs good time for us with a home game at the end of the week for a big reveal, but selling clubs looking to take things to the close might hold out at that point…

Which leaves,

Final days of the transfer window
Tuesday/Wednesday after the late Aug bank hol, this is maximum end of window dealing chaos, but we have an away trip at the end of the week with no opportunity for a big home reveal.

Things could run and run.
