You say interesting, but I say incomplete.
The article didn't mention Queen Victoria.
She was 18 when the Victorian age started and she lived through all of it.
Possibly the UK's greatest era.
Pfft.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Quite something to think that QE2 had already been queen for over 10 years when our Ramsey boys won the first division.

My granddad remembered his excitement at reading of the Wright Brothers' flight in the newspaper, as, together, we watched the Apollo XI moon landing...

Anybody born before Albert Henry Woolson died on 2 August 1956 was alive when the last veteran of the American Civil War died.

(Although he was a drummer boy and never actually saw action)

The last verified combat veteran died in 1953

I seem to remember reading/hearing somewhere that veteran journalist Alistair Cooke had shaken hands with somebody (his great aunt I think) who had danced with the Duke of Wellington at the ball the night before the Battle of Waterloo.

Ahem, as you watched the ‘moon landing’ being faked in a warehouse in Texas.

That’s quite an anecdote.

The Wright Flyer first flew on 17th December 1903.

The first Moon Landing was on 20th July 1969.

65 and a half years.

The B52 Stratofortress first flew on 15th April 1952.

It's still in active service today, over 70 years later:

This to the Moon in less time than the active service life of NATOs high-capacity bomber:

Colour Sergeant Frank Bourne was at Rorkes Drift in 1879. He was played by Nigel Green in the film Zulu. Born in 1855, he lived until the day after VE Day 1945.

So, he lived through a good chunk of the Victorian era, Edwardian era, George 5th, Edward 8th and George 6th, saw off the Zulus, served in all sorts of places, was around for WW1 and WW2. An interesting time.
