So what sort of big away end will it be tomorrow…? 10:18 - Sep 16 with 3494 views | Matt_Netherlands | The contenders: Tanked up Stone Island day: When our wanna be firm members come out for the day and have a few hours in spoons before the game. Often seen at the likes of a Charlton and Millwall. The line for toilet cubicles is suspiciously long at HT. SAR Upper on tour day: Big numbers there and a bit of atmosphere, but nothing really travels and seems a little flat. Seen at the likes of MK Dons and Gillingham last season and Fulham in the past. E-I-E-I-E-I-O away day: The surprisingly rare occasions where the away atmosphere is loud and buzzing, but in a good way without the stone island crew trying to fight anyone in sight. Seen at places like Oxford and Wycombe last season, and places like Watford in the play off season. You’re in my seat day: often seen at grounds like Hillsborough where people ignoring the row/seat on their ticket causes carnage. Keeping my fingers crossed for the third…..
So what sort of big away end will it be tomorrow…? on 10:31 - Sep 16 with 3393 views | Steve_M | Well, last year was closer to one - lots of throwing beer around and being dicks under the stand and absolute silence except for some tired tropes about benefits for most of the game. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

It was a pretty poor game with both sets of fans quite quiet. Think tomorrow will be totally different.

I think that might have been me. I was jumping with joy and lost my footing on those steps - quite easy to do, but I hope it wasn't too annoying! The only point i'd make on the "you're in my seat" point, is that it's a bit tricky when you have to buy tickets at differnt time as your friends come along. So e.g. I bought two tickets for tomorrow with my brother initially, and then had to buy two more when it turned out my friend and wife wanted to join. We're "sat" at different ends, but I hope no-one would begrudge us joining together. If people are standing at away ends, you're pretty mobile and can afford to be flexible, no?

See where you’re coming from and agree that it’s always a pain having to buy tickets at different times in different places and while I’m sure nobody would begrudge you doing that tomorrow, when people do that en masse it becomes annoying for a lot of people. E.g. if people may have bought tickets to be in a certain spot (E.g. to be with other people, certain view, safe seating etc) and can’t stand where they have bought a ticket to because someone has moved into their spot.

Yep, it's all about being accommodating (and not intimidating!) isn't it.

The most accommodating thing is probably not to take someone else's seat! | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Wycombe last season... on 12:15 - Sep 16 with 2717 views | unstableblue | ... was fricking brilliant, one of the best I can remember There was a little mayhem, stone islandery.... but overall we generated a massive atmos, weathered an early storm and goal... and then the players just opened up and we were just excellent to watch And it was a Paul Cook match?!?!

Clearly there is someone that would begrudge sitting next to your wife after a 3 hour journey! We would obviously move if asked.

Oh dear - benefits?! There's far less shame in claiming benefits than in mocking someone for having to. One would hope that that's pretty much a consensus, right?

Yeah last year was dead quiet after the first 10 minutes or so wasn’t it. Keep them quiet for the first 30 mins or so is a must tomorrow.

Really depends on if by doing that you end up splitting friends who have bought tickets together, or they all have to shift and they split up other friends who have got tickets together and so on and so forth.

Completely agree with your “it’s my seat” point of view, which I shall be putting to the test tomorrow.

So what sort of big away end will it be tomorrow…? on 16:52 - Sep 16 with 1866 views | Kropotkin123 | Next time my wife starts an argument with me, I'll tell her she's a tanked up Stone Islander spoiling for a fight. She's only been to the Millwall game when we won 4-3. None of this no victory in 9 away games or 9 injuries in 9 away games curses. Straight in there with the game of the season. If you want to guarantee seeing the game of the season, you'll need to pay for our flights from Vancouver.

It was a fantastic away day and one of the best games of last season, but we weren't that good on the pitch Gifted 4 goals by Stockdale and 4-1 flattered us a bit. The football and control was not even close to what we have witnessed this season
