Quite. Signed for a basket case of a club, playing in front of 2 men and a dog every other week. Yet there were some on here saying it was a good move because he’ll play Galatasaray a couple of times. Great.

Going well for Celina… on 20:31 - Sep 12 with 5699 views | itfcsuth | With the money Celina is on, very difficult for us to have done that deal. We wouldn’t have been able to get close to it, and if Kaisimpasa can offer him anything like his Dijon deal I can’t blame him for going there. Financial security is at the forefront of 99% of players minds - it’s a short career and they want to secure best economic package for themselves and their families. I hold no animosity for Celina at all, certainly doesn’t look like it’s going to plan there - maybe a return to PR later down the line.

Weird isn’t it? Not sure why he’s being knocked for choosing Istanbul over Suffolk, Super Lig over League One and Galatasary over Accrington!? Good luck to him. I’d have made the same choice as a footballer if I wasn’t a Town fan.

People wouldn’t take more money in a career that’s 15 years short. That puts them in a minority. Nobody should be criticised for seeking a better pay check

Unless your decision shortens your career... Whatever. He's made his choice and if money is all that matters to him, then he should be delighted however many times he gets subbed off at half time. That sounds bitter, but it's not meant to be. Besides, the team is showing so far that we don't miss him and that's the most important thing.

Tbh I wouldn’t want Celina back at this club if he said he’d pay us!

Why is the career only 15 years? Go down the coaching route after or management. Not a short career then. It's what you make it.

He might not want to be a coach, therefore make as much money as you can in a short amount of time

Perhaps not everyone else would have done so, not those of us who think that there are more important things in life than money, but it was certainly his decision to make. He was great for us here, and I wish him well wherever he plays.

He’s on around £20-25k per week under his Dijon contract which runs until 2024. As likely under option to buy deals he’ll have negotiated his new contract at Kasimpasa in advance. If they are going to get near that ball park on a deal until 2026 for example, it’s a package worth over £3M minimum. Even if we could put him on £10k-£12k (our higher bracket of salary) on a three year deal he’ll take £1.5M. Nobody here can honestly say that they would turn down an extra £1.5M over 3 years of work. Going well for Celina… on 22:20 - Sep 12 with 4716 views | PioneerBlue | I am not going to jump to any conclusions over why Celina isn’t playing for itfc. I have no facts, other than the comments MA and KMcK made about looking for players running towards us, that may or may not have been aimed at Bersant Celina. I’m am certain though, this start in Turkey isn’t what he was looking for!

He chose Turkish Accrington. I get it’s a big cash difference but still.
