4 goals* I really don't think we should include pizza cup. Agree that he can be an asset, but we are also light in the pure striker/lone striker department for me. If we want to be as sure footed as we can for top two.
Lad behind me last night, after Ladapo scored the first said he couldn’t cheer a Ladapo goal, and later was chanting off,off when he fouled someone. Can’t understand fans who go to games and not supporting their players :o)

He's our best option up top, I don't think he's perfect but we really have no alternative to him until Ahadme is back
It would be interesting to see if we would pick up someone like Wickham in January, am I right in thinking he has a 3 month contract at Forest Green?
Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Some people have a lot wrong with them. To have a go at a bloke in your own team like that is plain weird, especially when he scores twice.

probably a racist

He spoke really well. Actually sounded more like a manager than a player
Love Freddie. He's not the most articulate speaker but by what he was saying in that interview you could almost get a real sense for what McKenna is asking of him and the players and he's clearly buying into it.
Really good to see and clearly loving his football with Town even if he is not playing every minute and goals haven't flowed perhaps as much as he might have wanted.
Doesn't last night performance help to put to bed the notion that we need to spend big on a striker in January?
I know he had problems, but Jackson was MoM vs Derby. TJJ and Chaplin are more than capable playing the No9 if needed. Ahadme will come into the reckoning. We've proved we have the option of a more attack minded midfielder through the centre with Humpreys and eventually Camara that will get goals. Hopefully Chirewa has now seen there is a concrete route from the U23s to the main squad and will sign his deal.
The threat of Davis and Edwards on the left is clearly something that will be developed giving Lapado more crosses to get onto the end of, rather than having to provide the holding/supporting role allowing Harness/Chaplin/TJJ/Morsy to get beyond him.
At what point do we just get on with what we have and make it work - as it evidently did last night.

No, I don't. They were two tap ins... albeit you have to be there to get them. But he also had another couple of shots that were very tame. I like Ladapo and appreciate what he brings to the team, but I just think the no.9 should be chipping in with a few more than he gets. In tight games where things aren't working you need your striker to conjure something from nothing occasionally. If we can get that type of player (big if, obvs!) then why wouldn't you? The extra strength in depth could be useful in the run in as well.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

....centre forward goal.
Excellent awareness, good pace and more importantly he showed the ability to lose the defender by checking his run from front the post to the back.
He made it a tap in.
Cheers.

I think he is just being the player that even his critics thought he needed to be, i.e. taking the good chances he gets rather than fluffing them to go alongside his all round game which is generally decent.
i think you don't hase Will Keane and George Hirst if manager doesn't think we need another striker - Ladapo had a chance when the recruitment failed to absolutely nail down that role in team and show he should be the number 9 but I don't think he is good enough to (in the same way a Leif Davis, Edmundson, Woolfenden, Walton or Morsy is)
Freddie will get us a decent amount of goals this season, but if we get the opportunity to upgrade on him, as with anyone else, then we absolutely should

Yeah, I did say "you have to be there to get them". However, I don't think that one goal (or the other one) can put to bed the need for another striker in Jan. He'd need to do that quite a few more times for me - and even then, I still think we'd need another to cover injuries/loss of form/suspensions up top.
