Humphreys.....obviously, eh? Just because he's a homegrown product. I'd rather Lee Evans all day long. [Post edited 28 Nov 2022 3:07]

Exactly. Good to give Woolfenden a go there as that’s the in-game change we might be forced into if central midfielders are injured or sent off. But can’t imagine putting Woolfenden in the middle is a serious selection discussion beyond that.

I rather doubt there would be any intention to play Woolfy in that position in a League game, but it does show his ability, and no doubt playing in that position will have benefited his overall game. Interestingly, and realising there is a gap in terms of level, I feel that Woolfy is a much better player on the ball than, say, John Stones who, I believe, is thought to be one of the better English players as a ball-playing centre back. Woolfie/Morsy together next game please on 11:32 - Nov 28 with 2828 views | BigCommon | I think he could do a job there if needed... Morsy is not far off a suspension, Camara not 100% match sharp and Evans out for a bit.. Plus if Humphreys pulls up, or Morsy gets injured, we may actually need him there. Obviouslt, atm, it's Morsy and Humphrey's. But it doesn't hurt to know we've got some potential back up, in Woolfy..

Obviously there is no relevance but my opinion underlines how badly I miss Evans in the midfield. Your allegations that I 'despise' any homegrown product. Dear me ! Yeah, says you who wanted Ipswich Town to fail under Cook just because you hated him. You got your wish.

It was a stupid point and a needless dig at Humphreys, who is obviously going to play on Friday. I didn't want us to fail under Cook, even in a wallet issue it cost me a lot of money because I stupidly backed him to get us up both seasons he was here as my heart ruled my head. I didn't think any manager could fail that badly with the players he had.

You didn't want us to fail under Cook then? Hmm. 'I didn't think any manager could fail that badly with the players he had' ....... Correct if you talk about the players whom he signed in the summer of 2021. But if you mean pre-Demolition Job that squad was full of frauds. They were impossible to manage. I remember you deemed them one of the best squads in the league as you were emotionally attached to them. Full of frauds, football wise and attitude wise the worst bunch of players that have ever played for the club and.... you used to come across as anti-Cook following The Demolition Job. You don't realise how good that job was, shame though it was the solitary good thing he did for the club. It wasn't a dig at Humphreys of course he'll play on Friday but Evans' return can't come quick enough. Very hectic and busy schedule and it's debatable if we can rely on 18 years old player week in week out.
