If we lose tomorrow the usual suspects will be on here saying “that’s us out of the promotion picture”. If we win we will hear nothing . They absolutely love it.

If we lose tomorrow then we obviously won't be out of the promotion picture. But I wonder how most fans would have felt in August if we were told that, in early Janaury, we'd be seven points off top spot? Not overly impressed would probably be the answer, especially if then pointed out a team managing it is one built on a shoestring compared to us.
This season has so much promise, and we're certainly moving forward. But we have obvious weaknesses which have not yet been addressed, we haven't won back to back league games since the end of October and the answer appears to be to splash out more. We have fans saying if we don't do good business in January we won't go up - what???
Sorry, ignore me. If Plymouth were losing today I'd feel much better.

As I keep saying, don’t really care if Plymouth pull away, it’s 3rd place we need to get clear of, so not sure why people are worrying.
I’ll tell you why because we are not shaking off 3rd place we have the same points and goal difference of Wednesday and they are the form team at the moment that’s why i worry. I just don’t trust us in a play off 2 legs .

There are a lot of games between the top sides in the next few weeks which will separate the wheat from the chaff.
We have Plymouth and Wednesday at home. Wednesday and Plymouth play each other at Hillsborough around the same time and both of them play Barnsley as well. There will be a lot of points dropped.

If we don't the table isn't going to look great let's be honest? We are dropping points where Plymouth just don't nor do Wednesday. Think you should just be made aware of that.

I’m a positive person. On another thread I dared to say we will get promoted and not to worry, seemingly I was jumped on by several others for being positive. My thoughts are still the same. It’s not won by the 1st Jan. Masses of points to gain and others to lose. Town to be promoted. Hang on in there.
Apologies to anyone who is offended by my positive posture.

Barnsley are the form team. And it is not a three horse race as some have been saying.

I'm well aware of what teams are doing, and you're talking bibble.
Us, Plymouth and Wednesday have all been picking up points at about the rate all season, and based on the form table below also in the last 6 games. This relentless need to look for negatives is just bloody tedious.

So you have a sense of entitlement that we should be clear top?
In that case this season must be awful for you just being second and being in a genuine title/promotion race.
Shame you can’t really allow yourself to enjoy it.

It's not a 3 horse race. Watch out for Barnsley. We get this transfer window wrong and we will be out of contention. We really aren't as great as some think. We definitely wouldn't do anything in the playoffs. We are too soft.

Aha, the classic 'my main point of misery has been proven wrong, so I'll pick another one instead' approach.
Boring.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
Didn't even realise anyone was playing today until I came on here. Enjoy other teams' results when they go our way, but no point expending mental energy on things completely beyond our control. Beating Lincoln tomorrow is all that is on my mind.
