We're not even playing this afternoon and loads on here are stressing and worrying.

God knows how you'll react if we don't win tomorrow.

So you have a sense of entitlement that we should be clear top?

In that case this season must be awful for you just being second and being in a genuine title/promotion race.

Shame you can’t really allow yourself to enjoy it.

Entitlement, no. Expectation, yes. Or in a close fought battle with Wednesday, who have also splashed out on a quality squad which, in fairness, we are.

Title race? We're seven points off top. Whatever happens tomorrow, even beating Plymouth on the 14th won't see us overtake them. Now win tomorrow, beat Argyle, and we will be right back in it. But it will mean we'll have to do something we haven't managed in two months - win league games back to back.

It's not a 3 horse race. Watch out for Barnsley. We get this transfer window wrong and we will be out of contention. We really aren't as great as some think. We definitely wouldn't do anything in the playoffs. We are too soft.

I should ignore your completely drivel, but I’ll bite.

You are making up a hypothetical situation in your head that Barnsley are going to overtake us and that we’ve already lost in the play offs.

Not only is your endless negativity tiresome, but a complete disrespect to how KM has improved the team in every way.

This 'no back to back wins in 2 months' stat has been used a few times today, but we've only played 7 league games in that time!

And of those 7, we've won 3, drawn 3 and lost 1. Whilst not exactly title winning form, its still perfectly respectable, and at a time where the squad has been stretched very thin.

I’ll tell you why because we are not shaking off 3rd place we have the same points and goal difference of Wednesday and they are the form team at the moment that’s why i worry.
I just don’t trust us in a play off 2 legs .

Half way through the season in 2nd place and even thinking about the playoffs is mental!

Anything can happen. There is miles to go!

In hindsight, have to wonder whether we went into the season slightly undermanned in central midfield. Obviously we were hoping Camara would come back quicker than he has to provide another body there but that's the risk of signing an already injured player.

The Charlton and Fleetwood games are the real killers in that period. Could so easily have a record of W5 D1 L1, and be three off Plymouth with a game in hand and superior goal difference. But those two games also exposed the issues we have been suffering with for a very long while.

If we don't the table isn't going to look great let's be honest? We are dropping points where Plymouth just don't nor do Wednesday. Think you should just be made aware of that.

Hmmm, so we have the same number of points as Wednesday, but we are dropping points where Wednesday do not.

Well, I always preferred pure maths not applied, so, do they have the really shiny numbers, and Ipswich have slightly more muddy ones, is that the difference?

Agree, it’s no time to go overboard on the negativity. Objectively though 12 points from 21 is ok, but you are not going to make top two with it.

For me, the home draws with Fleetwood and Cheltenham were killers. Bread and butter games that the competition are strolling through, by and large. I don’t buy the injury excuse either. Two of those have been self inflicted by playing key players in nothing games and every team gets injuries. The weak collapses against Charlton and Sheffield W were a knock back too.

However, we’re so close. We are a good team and have a great chance. We are the weakest team, form wise, in the top four. It’s up to us to turn that around and we can. An addition or two might help but even without any we have the ability.

Edit: now is not the time to worry about other teams form. Too early - it’s up to us to start winning back to back and in some games comfortably, as we did on Boxing Day.

49 points from 24. Doing ok, despite a succession of injuries.

Working on the basis of two points average, and winning your home fixtures, drawing away games, then:

Plymouth (13H, 12A) - 56 points (plus 5 points)
Ipswich (12H, 12A) - 49 points (plus 1)
Sheff W (12H, 12A) - 49 points (plus 1)

Barnsley (11H, 11A) - 40 points (minus 4)

Derby (11H, 12A) - 38 points (minus 7)
Bolton (12H, 11A) - 37 points (minus 10)
Wycombe (12H, 13A) - 38 points (minus 11)

We re doing ok, you know.

This. It’s almost as if we’ve only just passed halfway through the season and still have 66 points up for grabs.

There’s going to be twists, turns and we’re going to lose games. We have the best team, the best manager and play the best football we’ve played in recent history, I really don’t know why some just can’t enjoy the ride.

I'd agree that the Fleetwood and Charlton games were sickeners, and holding on for the win in those would have put us in a very strong position, but even allowing for those disappointing draws we're still looking good.

I'm just a bit weary of people reacting so negatively every time something doesn't go our way. We'll have bad runs between now and May, we'll lose some poor games, we'll throw results away, we'll make defensive mistakes. But I'm fairly confident we'll win much more than enough games to be in the shake up at the end of the season.

It's just massively unrealistic to expect us to coast our way through the season, and you can be certain that neither Plymouth or Wednesday will either. Plymouth went 4 games without a win before their latest little run - our longest winless run is 2 games which has only happened once.

Poor runs in football is normal, defeats are normal. As said before, Hull lost 11 games when they won the league.

So far we've not shown much ability to do what Plymouth have just done and put a run of 4 wins on the bounce, if we had.. that negatively wouldn't be around much as you'd have more confidence in what's to come. At present, I can't bring myself to even think tomorrow we'll win, let alone feel confident we have enough about us to maintain a promotion battle at the top end.. Things can change though, town can absolutely turn it around and hopefully will do.

This a million times over.

It’s disrespectful to think Plymouth will just drop off, but also crazy the amount of bed wetting that goes on every time we fail to win.

We’re in a proper tussle here and it will continue this way until May. Every game has something riding on it and it makes the wins that much sweeter.

We haven’t had this for a very long time and if you can’t enjoy this season after the last few years then there is no hope for people.
